My wife just picked up her new car, a BMW 2015 F23 with 22k kms with the RL_EntryNav_Nav_F14421A screen. She has an Android Samsung S21 running the latest Android OS and she can play Spotify via BT and can change songs via the Forward/Back keys on the head unit, however she cannot do this via the music controls on the steering wheel. Furthermore, the cluster shows "Not Possible".
We also tried Amazon Music, Sony Music Center, YouTube Music and they all perform the same. However, I tried Samsung Music and using local files (my notification sounds) I was able to see the song names in the cluster and use the steering controls to move between the media files.
I tried changing the AVRCP version with no effect. I tried the same thing with my Samsung Z Fold 4 with the exact same result. I set all Spotify permissions to ON with no effect.
Can anyone suggest a fix for Spotify and the other apps? And why does local media work OK?
