I'm waiting for this day, to be done with break in. I have a small trip this weekend that will help get me closer, probably within the next month or so. Good thing I signed up for Shell's Mobile App to get some extra money off of gas for the extra driving I'm doing.
I have an AFE Pro Dry Filter and a JB+ waiting to go on (fiance got me the JB+ for my birthday). Want to do some 0-60 comparisons too, I'll use OBD Fusion with my ScanLink LX, not sure how accurate it really is but that should be OBD + GPS. Honestly don't expect really any difference but it is for fun, I'm only going to run the JB+ at half power.

Of the faults that the m235i has, lack of badging has never been one of them . I prefer the clean look...

Cleaned the insides of all the windows today, for the first time in nine months.
I was surprised how LITTLE off-gassing residue had built up on the glass during that time. Overall, it was easy to reach all the glass without much contorting. To do the inside of the rear window – usually a detestable task in a coupe or sedan – I folded down the rear seat backs and made use of the trunk space to get nice and close. I've sort of avoided bonding with this car until now. But tonight, I just hung out in the garage with it... dusting and vacuuming the interior, fiddling with the H-K sound system, re-programming some settings... I'm actually (unexpectedly) growing to like this car. A lot!

Installed a set of staggered set 436m wheels wrapped in PSS. I know I said in another post I did not want to move away from RFT. But I found a good deal on this setup used with just a few hundred miles on them. So I thought I'd give it try.
Going to use my original set of 436's for Pirelli Winter RFT's. I don't think the Pirelli A/S RFT's are all that bad. Actually I think they are a pretty good Grand Touring Tire. But that's what it is. A Grand Touring Tire. So far I'd say the positives are a surprisingly better steering wheel feel. Not surprisingly better grip and performance. The negative is that road noise is a little louder than then the A/S Perelli RFT's on some roads. Oddly I feel like my car has less power with the PSS. Strange? |

I owned a hatchback before m235i and thing which bothered (honestly: was killing) me with coupe was rattling of plastic licence plate holder and licence plate when closing the trunk. And I just fixed that! Now it feels like a 65k€ car.
I mentioned this to my friend who drives a sedan and he said that doesn't bother him. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels annoyed by this? Though this is pretty much basic solution, I hope I will help other comrades in pain. I don't know what effect might occasional water have on this, that's why I left some room at side and the bottom so that water can leak out. Glue on this thing is very strong too. It's a beta version which I'm willing to improve. |

Tried out a new-to-me detailing product on the inside of my window glass.
It seemed to cut the greasy off-gassing smudges quickly and completely. Now I need to check in late afternoon sunlight to see how it did on eliminating subtle streaks. If this works, it'll be a miracle.

Installed the m-performance front splitter. Didn’t put the supplies ‘stickers’ on, and it’s bugging me seeing some blue above the splitter. Will be taking it off this weekend and reinstalling after I put on those stickers.

Agree on the reflectors. Curious about what line deletion is?

In the US they delete the M badges on the fenders. They call it "without lines designation outside" not sure why they delete them here in Europe they keep them.

Had mine done a few weeks ago. I had a shop paint my factory set for $100. Way better than OEM in my opinion.
