Shape and color can be independent. I color-matched an MPe spoiler and find the overall proportion very consistent with the body, thus the suggestion to get it to the bodyshop before paint if you happen to like this look.

The BMW Motorsports fenders would probably be easiest to source this fast. And yup, the chassis desperately needs fronts first, but ... there's always the next accident to cover that (knocks on wood)...

I see front your sig you have "18x9/9.5". Does that mean 9 front and 9.5 rear? What offset are they? Any suspension/alignment mods?

The setup is detailed here (except the front wheels are now Apex ARC-8 18X9 ET42s): https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show...07&postcount=1.

Thankfully, all the damage is cosmetic. It still drives exactly the same and there doesn’t appear to be any frame damage.. I haven’t done any modifications to the rear yet anyway, so all good. Still planning for the Wavetrac and subframe bushings in a few months.

Installed the Racing Dynamics strut brace recently. Refined the feel a bit in turns at moderate plus, speed. It seems to further lessen any loss of motion when initiating the turn-in.

Over the past two weeks

Added MP LSD to my 2015 M235i about two weeks ago
last week, I added the AA axelback exhaust
today I replaced the tensioner pulley, idler pulley and belt in an attempt to get rid of an annoying squeak. Didn't work

Ugh sorry to see that. Hope everyone was alright and that repairs come swift and easily. — looks like we need to start a new thread: “What hit your 2-series today?”

Installed my new Smarttop module today. What a pain in the butt working behind a pulled out panel. Had to pop one of the upper panel buttons to get enough room to see the connector and install it.

It was worth it for the new functionality. One touch top movement, no longer have to hold the switch. Plus many more on control of windows and top. One control disables it altogether so it functions like stock.

Just added recently also. Definitely more of a PIA than the videos and instructions will have you believe (it always is). Didn't help that I was trying to fit the connector without realizing that it had slipped into the "locked" position. Still nursing my scraped up knuckles and forearm. Still, I agree, it's totally worth it. Love the one touch on the console and the increased range on the remote.

Some deferred maintenance. Fixed the fuel filler (which was annoying me for way too long), swapped rotors, and put in a an old Tranx260 transponder in the wheel well. This after giving up on the newer (and supposedly much fancier) X2.
Next up: more fluids and open up the grilles for the aux coolers.

Most places are booked out until last week of September so I am very thankful they were able to prioritize mine.

I asked them if they will be using all OEM parts and I was assured that will be the case. The rear diffuser is salvageable so it will fortunately look the same when it’s done. Might have them do the front bumper at additional cost to me, just because it’s pretty beat up. Meanwhile, biking to work is exciting.
Don't forget the diminished value claim. After every accident, with the repair, your car is now marked with an accident to the back and thus it loses some value.

Did the Strut brace leave a mark on the foam on the hood? Looking to add this too.

True but doesn’t matter to me, really. I refinanced it last month at 1% and have just about a year left of payments and I intend on driving it into the ground. Part of the reason I passed on going with a BMW certified shop— that, and the wait time. It just needs to look close enough.. the car sees track time

Flushed the brake fluid. But vacuumed out the engine compartment first. I was amazed how much stuff (pine needles, leaves) had accumulated under that side cover. Cleaned out the other side too while I was at it since it figured that was probably just as dirty (it was).

Installed SPLParts rear traction links this afternoon. It wasn't a difficult install; pretty straightforward. I did a lot of suspension upgrades this year, including Bilstein B6 struts and MSS springs.
