Ha unlike my advice of "pull and pray" for interior trim removal I wasn't trying to make a joke here!

As for the park sensors...I have the sensors and you just have to pull the plastic wheel well further out (you won't snap anything) to get at it. Took a few extra minutes. No gloves.
if I can save mine I will otherwise I won't lose any sleep if they're destroyed, as long as it's not anything on the car itself.

The other clip was behind something that felt like a plastic block, which made unclipping difficult, thus the broken clip.

This is a project that I would have saved for spring (frozen fingers are nearly useless) except that I had an Xpel appointment and I wanted the reflectors covered.
yeah spring would make more sense but I'm going to do it now as I rather not wait.

I finally got around to installing these and it was painful at first until I tried with pliers. The first one took about 30m because I was being super careful but the 2nd one was about 5m lol. I actually chipped the paint somehow, not sure how exactly because nothing snapped off but oh well... it looks great. I'll just get the paint chip taken care of before xpel treatment.

Good writeup but the clips are a lot tougher than it looks. Took me about 2 hours in total to do front and rear reflectors along with the lock cover. Broke both clips on front reflectors and completely destroyed 1 rear reflector. Not to mention my thumbs are still sore from doing this 4 days ago. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade and product but don't expect it to be as easy.

Chrome when off orange if on.

Bimmian sells it do not get the 180 you need 150 if memory serves (location of bumps on plug end).

Check owners manual for instructions.

Do not touch bulb with bare hand, oil can create a focused hot spot and cause failure.

Used a dash trim tool. Took about 15 minutes and some broken OEM clips.

Just assume you will break the OEM reflector clips...

Angled needle nose pliers would help if you have them.

The painted reflectors for a base 228i is not the same as the ones for a m-sport or a m235i!. Don't order the wrong one or you will waste a lot of your time. I don't think they have the one you need on IND yet. I just messaged Ryan@IND and he custom ordered the correct part number for me.

Here is a picture of my base 228i with painted reflectors.

Anyone consider drilling them out from front to rear? Start with a small bit and get larger? With the new clips in hand, it should be easy to trace a template of where the clips are , then transfer that to the reflectors. Start drilling...

I really like this look, but then I'm not sure if I want to remove the reflector even though it doesn't seem like it serves a purpose! Damn, so indecisive.

I can't find a rear reflector install guide. Is it pretty easy/self-explanatory?
