Hello from Texas

Fort Worth to be exact. I purchased my first BMW, a Black Sapphire Metallic 230i auto with the Cognac Dakota Leather interior and the Convenience package two weeks ago and I love it.

I have been reading through the forums and already said hello in the SW US sub-forum, but thought I should say hi here too.

welcome, not many 2ers in the DFW area, though i have been starting to see more in the past few months. funny thing is none of them ever acknowledge or look at my car, so i would assume that most i see around arent enthusiasts.

I think most people are too caught up in their little worlds they don't notice much. Since I purchases this I am noticing more BMWs and Mercedes in general. Funny how that happens...

I don't envy you driving in that traffic.

I have been in Sedans, Trucks, SUVs and even a Mini-Van since the mid 90s. Before that I was always in the old school personal luxury and sports cars. I had a couple of 280ZX, a Cordoba. a Cutlass and a Thunderbird. No one makes those personal luxury coupes anymore.

I have wanted a BMW since 1998. This car perfectly suits what I was looking for.

Looks good! I like the light brown (I have the darker terra Dakota leather). I'm out in the richardson area; I only went to FW once in my 235, but I'll always acknowledge another 2er if I see one.
