Long story short, my MP Splitter collided with a raised manhole cover and committed suicide. Unfortunately, it took an unidentifiable attached part with it. Could one of the sharper minds on this forum please help me locate the part number for the piece indicated in this photo. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Before I exhaust every option, I plan to head over to a local BMW dealer and overpay for this part, simply because ever after hours of indepth research, I STILL can't seem identify the part number to order it, although I can confirm it's availability through BMW NA. So I'm proposing to anyone who could provide me a verifiable part number, for the 'splash-shield like part which the center of MP splitter screws onto,' as indicated above, I would send $20 to your PayPal account (fees included) to compensate for you conscientious assistance. This is no BS, I assure you.. However, this offer is only good until 06/21/2017. After that, I plan to move on to plan B.. Anyway, after I receive the part number, one way or the other; I will share it with the masses, as I imagine this might be a common occurrence to owners of the MP splitter, who reside in neighborhood with crater like-roads forth-world roads.

Call Brian at Sun BMW. Explain to him what you are looking for and email him pics. He will help you and give you a good price on the part.

Funnily enough mine is current broken exactly as per yours (although the dealer did mine, not me!)

Did some more hunting - pretty sure that this is the part?

Wow, that is the correct part, you're the man!! I been literally searching for close to a month, every day, for that part number; not even a local bodyshop with access to BMW parts software could of help me located it. Without that part, I was unable to replace the splitter, so the repair has been on the back burner, until now. That's great that you got the dealer to replace yours; there must be an interesting backstory behind that because I'm guessing most dealers would classify that as a collision and not a warranty defect, thus, I would not even bother raising the question. Anyway, thank you and I am a man of my word; check your inbox

I'm in a battle with my dealer at the moment getting my rear bumper re-sprayed. They scratched it while doing tail-light replacement under warranty due to moisture ingress.

The first time the paint shop did it, it had been layered in really weird and looked wrong. Handed it back last week to re-do and picked the car up this morning - noticed the splitter had been snapped (by the paint shop), oh, and the bumper is still painted poorly

That sucks and I feel your pain, as I've been down that road before when a relative of a bodyshop owner smashed into my Acura RSX. The worst decision I made was not going through insurance like my instincts was screaming at me to do and let their shop re-paint it. Simply because they were doing the work for free, with obvious haste, they did such a crappy job; the car was silver but the paint almost looked flat white without very little clear coat. Also, after I had gotten back the car; the clutch started slipping; which cost me $1,400 out of pocket to replace. I learned to pick my battles since then. I say if you feel the dealer is not doing right by you, ask for some other sort of compensation, as you can't guarantee they going to do the right thing. Every case is unique but that's just my $.2..

I recently dropped my car off for service at the dealership. While the car was there parked a third party dealership delivering a car hit and scraped my right front bumper. Thankfully, I have Xpel PPF on the bumper and it saved the paint where contact was made. The dealership is in the process of reimbursing me after I had the Xpel bumper kit R&R'd. I also asked that they compensate me for my time in the form of free labor on my next Dinan install and they agreed.

Just ordered mine, looks like coming from CA. Search by part# 51128055968. I will try taking some pics when I install mine.

Unfortunately .. it did not work out for me. See the red circle, this hole is attached to the body bar with the hardware at the bottom right. i was not able to get to it. Off course you can get to it by taking off bunch of stuff with right tools but i did not feel comfortable doing that. Mine is only cracked a little .. so i
am thinking about other remedies w/o trying replacing it for now.
