Was at Thermal last week for a M track day. So much fun! Such a nice track.
Before leaving, I decided to drive over their fueling island and see what they had available since I had less than 1/4 tank left of 91 octane and I needed to drive ~20 miles back to the resort.
Still pumped up from driving M cars, I wanted to keep the adrenaline going so I put in 2 gallons of 98 octane and enjoyed the open roads

Car definitely felt better with the higher octane.
A little more power and very smooth acceleration
I wish 93 octane is regularly available for us

I've driven over 2,000 miles with no issues so far.
Still get 30+ mpg on the highway.
Oil level still reading at the highest mark.

Lol I guess since my car weighs more and i have a heavy foot.
I haven't gotten more than 24mpg in the last 6 months even driving with EcoPro and cruise control 70-80mph
last time I got 28-30mpg was on a 94 mile trip (snow storm) haha

That's about what I get, but then again my cab is heavier also! Just came back from NC and round trip @ 75+ was 27.9.

Could you post a cold-start video to see your rpm idle and after it settles ?

Thanks
Glad you're enjoying your 228 ECU Flash =D

Does installing the M Performance M235i exhaust on a 228i void the warranty?

I wish we had 93 octane here. I just got back from a European Vacation (if you don't count getting caught up in the ISIS attacks in Paris as being a vacation). I'm jealous of the octanes available there. I regularly saw 98 octane at the stations. Saw all sorts of BMW models I've never seen before. That was pretty cool. I only saw one 740 and one 435 the entire time. The majority with either diesel or all 2 liter powered cars. Not one M car!!!

98 octane in Germany is actually 93 for us. It's just the different way they do the math. It's free or 5% ethanol there though. M cars aren't very common in Europe. Most of the ones you see on the road are US military. Europeans don't want to pay the M Tax for fuel and maintenance.

Prost!!!

Here you go!
The video cuts off a second after the 2nd exhaust valve finally opens.

ROBNYC We acquired GSR Autosport and not GSR Technik which is its own entity. We will post up the acquisition soon
