Bootmod3 Stage2 AMAZING

So got my catless dp installed and in turn right away upgraded to the ots Stage 2 map. All I can say is the car is whole other animal, in the best way possible. 1st to 2nd gear shift soo much smoother! (6mt)

Did have a question if anybody has messed with the map config, more specifically the boost reduction by gear %?

In 2nd gear looks like Im at about 16-18lbs of boost, traction is not horrible but I would definitely be at a disadvantage doing a 2nd gear pull. I was thinking maybe 10-15% reduction might help. But then again blowing out the tires is pretty fun lol!

Keep us posted! I went hex tune and am also stage 2, but now I'm having issues with putting power down so I'm considering switching to BM3 for its boost by gear application. 1st gear is just completely worthless right now lol

Interesting you mention 16-18 psi. I'm running bm3 stage 2 with e30 and all of my logs show the car capping boost under 16.5 (regardless of the gear). The car runs strong, but u think theres a boost setting i can raise a bit? 16.5 to 18 psi is a solid jump.

Probably has to do with elevation or ambient temperature. Or maybe he's measuring at the preboost with some throttle closure

Will do, going to start with 10% reduction and test later today. Yeah 1st gear is not even an option.

I see, I am kind of new at reading these logs, I'm looking at boost(pre-throttle). To be fair it only hits 18 for a second most of the pull through 2nd gear Im at about 16lbs. But as far as increasing boost, probably only if you request a custom one with bm3.

Also for the e30 map do you always have to have a ethanol blend in or what happens if you just fill 93 octane a couple times? Are you just fbo running e30?

Log is 2nd gear WOT around 4500 rpm. Temp outside about 52F, brand new ngk plugs as well.

Ok 18 psi peak tapering down to 16's makes sense. I'm running FBO without meth. But i bet new ngk would help me out.

So e30 maps are for only running e30 fuel. If u throw in 93 the higher cylinder pressures are more likely to cause knock (predetination)

Are u using a wifi OBDII agent? Makes changing maps at the gas station very easy and fast. If u don't there's a REALLY good diy on how to make the same one bm3 sells. Diy cost is like $60 vs bm3's $300

Ok makes sense, I think I have seen that diy for the wifi agent, will def go that route if I want to use the E30 map.

Its a flash for the transmission controller only for the automatic transmission. Its not needed to tune the car with Bootmod3. Don't know much else as I have a 6speed.

Thanks. I have the Auto and just got the BM3, so I was making sure that I didn't need something else.

You don't, don't let anyone else tell (sell...) you otherwise. I've been running BM3 stage2 for a while now and with their latest update, version 6.3 I believe, the jerkiness/hesitancy that my ZF8 had is now gone. I'm really enjoying it!

First off the OTS maps are amazing! But a custom map will really utilize all the parameters of your specific car and the fuel used. My experience with CaryTheLabelGuy custom map literally left me with my jaw dropped and a holy shit every time i get on the gas. Just as smooth as the OTS but just a good amount faster, I havent had the chance to put it on the dyno yet, but it feels like a good bump of about 25-30whp and about 50ish wtq.
So far it has been extremely reliable without even a hiccup.

as far as customer service goes Cary is the best! quick response times and he really works with you to make the car perfect for exactly what you want and he has the ability to control certain things that you may or may not want (such as flames). For me it took about 3 revisions of the map to get it dialed in just right. and another 3 to get the flames to be perfectly matched to my liking

Sorry if thats not exactly the review you were looking for. But theres my short review.

Nice! Hadn't ever seen any customers experience with bootmod3 custom maps. Definitely interested. What fuel did you end getting the custom map for? are you stock turbo?

Since you mentioned flames, a quick video wouldn't hurt lol!
