If I were to leave my car running and walked away, what will the car do?
Keep running or shut itself after I went a certain distance away?
Could someone drive it off?
Thanks

With Comfort Access you can leave your car running and lock the doors (as long as you don't leave the fob in the car). I do it all the time when running in to grab a coffee. If you were to forget to lock the doors someone could drive off with the car. Without the fob they would not be able to restart the car.

Mine will honk if you walk away with it running. It doesn't keep honking, just 1 or 2 short honks.

My wife's X1 honks 2x as well. My 16' M235i doesn't m. I'm thinking about coding it off for her as I think it's a little obnoxious.

You can code it out easily. I let mine warm up for like 5 mins in the morning before I leave for work at 430am. The honk was really loud and would wake up my wife, so I coded it out. I can start it and lock the doors and now it just flashes the lights.

I don't know if it's the same but my buddy had comfort access with his E90.

he drove to work and found out he didn't have his keys on him. had someone drive him home. he had dropped them in the driveway.
