Mperformance steering wheel error code

So I changed the steering wheel on my 2016 M235xi to the electronic one. Now on start up I get a "cruise control malfunction" message. (Only occasionally, and the cruise control always works)

Checked for codes and I have 30490 steering wheel electronics module (LRE): Missing LIN slave

Any ideas?

I had to take mine to the dealer to have it correctly coded. I had similar issues (not yours specifically) and the only way to get rid of the errors was to visit the dealer. Cost me around $150 I think

I'm familiar with coding and can use bimmercode in expert. Just need to find out which codes to adjust for different wheel.

Thanks!

Where did you get your wheel installed? I did mine myself and didn't have to code a thing and everything works fine.

I first installed the alcantara then I went to the mperformance race display. Did both myself.

I had the basic one at first, and have been getting the error codes with both wheels

You might want to re-check your wires in the steering wheel. Sounds like something may not have been plugged in correctly or something came lose within one of the harnesses.

Yes I'm thinking that or I've damaged one of the wires.

Thanks
