Sun Visor Alternatives?

I've always disliked the sun visors in my M240i. They look and feel like they were plucked from a '90s economy car parts bin. I'd like to replace them with a more premium look/feel alcantara alternative.

I found these, but they are 350USD! That's more than I'm willing to spend on this cosmetic mod.

I've tried searching for others, but didn't have any luck. Does anyone know of any?

Cat at IND can source you EU visors with no warning labels, that's the only other option I've seen.

Remove your visors, take them to an upholstery or leather or car interior place and have them redo them to your liking. Pimp purple shag with buttons and tassels? We can do that.

Yeah, I may just do that because I don't see anything else online.
However, I'll pass on the shag, buttons and tassels. Black alcantara would be fine.

I saw someone post a thread where they just removed the visor and scrubbed (with alcohol) the warning sticker off and put the visor back on

Actually looked pretty good I'm doing it myself this weekend

I don't know if age makes a difference, I used 90% alcohol on a wet paper towel and put a bag around the visor for a couple of hours and it was still a huge pain in the ass to get the sticker off.

It also leaves a shadow - the finish under the sticker is not the same as the rest of the visor.

Oh really? Dang nvmd thanks for saving me a few hours of trying it lol

So what's the best option so far for the visors?

I used citristrip and it took them off with no damage to the plastic. The "shadow" is visible in direct light but i never notice it while in the car and no one else with likely notice it.
Also, if you don't like it you can always go to plan b and have them reupholstered.

I "painted" it on and let it sit for a few minutes then wiped off and applied in that same manner until it was all gone.
Then i rinsed them and sprayed them with some vinyl cleaner and reinstalled. I was liberal with slathering it on there but citristrip is pretty mild compared to the paint stripper you might be familiar with.
