Convert Wired Android Auto to Wireless (CarPlay2Air type solution)
If anyone is running an aftermarket head unit with wired AA and looking to run wireless Android Auto, check out AAWireless.
The devs for this are for real (no affiliation). Well known on XDA and I've been using his app based solution for wireless AA in my Audi using an old phone as the slave device. You can check out that approach in the XDA thread. Basically, I have an old Moto Z hidden in my car that acts as a wireless receiver for AA from my Note 10. Works well, but not flawlessly. This is obviously a better solution. It's the AA answer to CarPlay2Air. I have backed it an pre-ordered one. |
