I'm not sure, but I'm going there tomorrow to have new plugs put in that are gapped to 0.22, which Mission Performance told me is important, so the higher boost doesn't blow out the plug. If they are free I'm going to throw it back on the dyno. I'll ask them the specifics.
As far as the shift, they put it in manual so they can hold it in the gear needed.

The shop is using a Dynapack dynamometer, which is what Turner Motorsport and Dinan Cars was using when I went to them for tuning a decade ago. The more common Dynojet dynamometer would read quite a bit higher; for example, on a RWD car you might expect numbers somewhere around 10% higher. I'm not sure what difference AWD makes, if anything at all. The operators at Turner and Dinan both told me the same thing: expect a variation of a few percent from day-to-day. That was with the same car, same dyno, same operator, same ambient conditions...same everything. I specifically recall the Turner dyno operator/tuner saying a variation of +/- 5% would not be unusual. That surprised the heck out of me.

I hate that they have to take my wheels off to bolt it up. I just found out that there's a shop close by with a drive on dyno. I might try that one.
Regardless of what I pull, I need to get up to the track since I got my MP Stage 2 and trans flash. It has to perform better than my previous set up. When I do I'll post some more videos.

Put the M240 on the dyno this morning. 430whp with the Mission Performance Stage 2. That's 30whp over my Dinan Stage 1...plus it's 66 degrees today. I'm happy with it for sure.

I think you'll want the steering wheel pointed pretty much straight between 3.0K–3.2K.

Indeed. If a group of owners here want to share numbers that are at all comparable, I think it would make sense to go to shops with the very common Dynojet 224 (or the Dynojet 248 for AWD owners).
Diving into this further in the context of power at a race track... The National Auto Sport Association ("NASA") has an Official Dyno Certification Form for their racers and time trialers. I think it's worth reading through their document to get an overview of how that organization approaches the issue of equalizing results across cars and dynos: https://www.nasaproracing.com/forms/...ation_form.pdf. Readers will see that NASA mandates a Dynojet dyno for RWD cars, while there are four manufacturers' units that can be used for AWD cars, including the Dynapack on which Greg's car has been run. Note that for AWD cars NASA doesn't add 10% to Dynapack results (which they do for the other two non-Dynojet / non-Dynapack manufacturers (i.e., Mustang & Dyno Dynamics)). That surprised me, as my results on a RWD E36 race car were ~10% better on a Dynojet 224 than they were on both Dyno Dynamics and Dynapack dynos. As you'd expect, NASA is very much on top of this subject, and I wonder if something has inadvertently gone amiss in the documentation or somewhere else. Sticking with NASA a little further, this is the .xlsx file into which you'd plug your dyno results to determine the class in which you'd be racing or time-trialing: https://www.nasaproracing.com/misc/s...alculator.xlsx. NASA's competition classes are generally based upon pounds per RWHP, and the end result of collecting your dyno data and filling-in NASA's Class Calculator spreadsheet is to find out the class in which you'll compete. Another way of looking at it, and of more interest to us street guys is: in terms of your car's weight rolling down the road, how much giddy-up do you actually have. For NASA, one example would be: with an on-track weight of 3600#, you could run 370 RWHP and be right at the limit of TT3 (Time Trial class 3) / ST3 (Super Touring class 3). That limit is 10# per RWHP. The width and compound of a driver's tires will affect NASA's #/RWHP calculation, as well they should.

Sure would be nice if they had one near me (that I knew of). I hate that they have to take my wheels off just to dyno it. I don't care too much about my hp as much as I do 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I'd just like an idea so when someone asks.
I'm looking forward to getting to the track when I have a chance.

It depends upon what you mean by 'near', of course, but you're bound to find one or more Dynojet-equipped shops within some reasonable driving distance on these pages:
NASA Mid-Atlantic – http://nasaracing.net/tech/ NASA Northeast – http://nasane.com/tech-approved-centers/. No doubt there are others as well, and while I didn't find a list on Dynojet's site, they'll surely know of more than NASA lists. Contact info here: https://www.dynojet.com/contact/dynojet-contact-us.aspx

Nice! Thanks! I'll have to check out the link.
I ran 11.50s-11.60s before the MP tune (with Dinan) and I can feel a difference, so I'm hoping to pull 11.30s-11.40s. I can't wait until the fuel restriction is conquered. I don't want to go WMI.......yet. lol

I see there is Dynojet in Gaithersburg MD, which is a bit over an hour for me. That's definitely do-able!

Did you ever hit them up? Be sure to have them run SAE rather than STD correction!

I wish it'd cool off a bit so I could get to the track...I just had CSF intercooler put on... warm days it's crowded and the car runs so much better when it's cool.

460 at the wheels for AWD on just a tune/DP/intake is seriously reaching. BM3 Stage 2/DP cars are only making 415-430 and I'm trapping 117-118 on that setup, so if you're at 460, you should be able to easily trap 120+.
Their 443 whp dyno was on a customer's car with meth and a modified HPFP, so not just a tune/DP/intake. They had a 440 reading on their own test car, but it was uncorrected, so not really worth anything. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...on+performance

I'm still hesitant about WMI. I did 430whp on a 78 degree day. I know dyno's vary and I'm not too concerned with my HP as I am with my 0-60 and 1/4 miles times. A couple weeks ago on a 72 degree day I did 3.66 0-60 with a few 3.70s. I can't wait until colder weather.

Did you notice any power increase with the CAI? I am debating getting one and am wondering what the power increase was. I know they say 13 whp, but I don't know if anyone has seen that on their own cars.
