Has anyone done the BMW alpine speaker system upgrade for the m240i? Looks like it may be better than HK but would like some subjective feedback.

Its called the BMW Alpine retrofit kit, comes with 2 tweeters 2 midrange and I believe some wiring and an amp

The Alpine retrofit kit is only for Stereo (no OEM amp in trunk) systems.

could you post details or a part #? I have the base stereo and am looking for upgrade options.

What do you mean by stereo? harmon kardon based system? Stereo is a general term. The kit is #65412293994

BMW name for the base audio system is "Stereo". Base audio system has no OEM amp in trunk.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up. These things are discontinued so might be hard to find in my area.
