JL amplifier
Hello: Just installed a JL amplifier (RD900/5). Could not get a harness, so I hot wired it. I had 3 schematics, and combined them all. The sound is magnificent. Haven't driven the car yet, but, in the driveway she sounds great.

Congrats! Which wiring diagrams did you use? Any trouble with system/parking/navigation prompts and chimes? Any impact to the piped in engine noise?
Thanks in advance, Alex |

Hi Alex: The chimes are really loud. The ASD came back on, but, I think I coded it out yesterday. Will drive today. Any hints on the chimes?

Go with the Audiotec-Fischer MATCH 7UP BMW amp. Plug and play. Very tune-able via the AF software. I have it with the Bluetooth module so I can send digital music to the amp's high end digital to analog converters. The D2A converters in the head unit suck. The sound is magnificent with the Eton 2 way component speakers up front and the JLs in the back.

Aspen: The gongs were really loud, and I couldn't get the wiring right to the speakers. Tried everything. Good sound, though. Jack
