DIY: red start button

thought I would just put some photos up of changing the start button.

the unit is just held in place by 3 spring clips. I just used a credit card to prise it out and then just unplug it.

you then need to remove the back of the unit by in clipping 3 clips.

then to remove the button it is held in place by the two long prong type clips.

Be careful removing the back of the assembly the clips are very brittle.

I picked up a M235i over the weekend and this might be the first mod I do. Seems easy enough and it should match great with the red interior.
