Done about 50 miles now. I'm assuming it's set to the default Sport+ but I have no way of checking. In Comfort mode, it's quite smooth, but also quite mild. I'd say it's about equivalent to Map 4 on the AA8 I had before, but I haven't really kicked it yet. Nor have I tried Sport throttle. It's a noticeable improvement over stock, though.

One thing I did notice is that halfway through my drive today, when I pulled off the freeway and was stopped at a light, the dashboard (the bit in front of me only) went blank and reset about four times in quick succession. When I pulled away, it went back to normal, and it was fine the rest of the day. I've never noticed that before, although I've seen it reported by others. I can't see how it could be related to the tune, but...

Still very happy. The dashboard thing is unrelated. Like I said, the top end in the default mode isn't as wild as the AA8 was but the midrange and general driving is great. Still no iOS app so can't comment on the other modes.

The car is in for its first service today. Took me all of two minutes to take the tune out beforehand (I deliberately left the hood open in the garage last night so it would be cold and asleep). No issues on the drive to the dealer. Only bummer is that I will now have to go buy some more zip ties to put it back in again! Also psyching myself up to ask my SA about their mod tolerance. Not that I'd volunteer that I have the tune, but I am getting awfully close to pulling the trigger on Dinan springs...

I just purchased a 2016 228ix and would like a little more power but nothing crazy or complicated. I am no techie so this sounds like a simple way of making some modest hp and torque gains. I have a friend who works on BMW's who can do the install. Is it easy to control with my iPhone.

The iOS app isn't available yet, only on Android. Dinan mentioned the app was pending review by Apple.

Not necessary. The car just needs to have the ignition off and be out of "hibernation" mode or whatever it is called (fully shut down with no power to any electronics - typically about 45 seconds after the car is turned off).

The 228i (N20/N26/N55) SPORT is not. In theory the B36/B38/B46/B48 SPORT unit is but we haven't had a car to test it on yet to be certain. The joys of being on the west coast--- dealers just very recently starting receiving the new models.

Pound of boost between each of the settings with the race mode capping out at +4 PSI.

That is correct. You can also throw in 0psi (bypass) and -3psi (valet) if you want to hit all the options.

Any Updates on the 230 compatibility ? I have had mine for 2 weeks (canadian east coast) and offered to send picture or anything if required but no answer back.

Nothing that I am aware of. Currently out at SEMA so not sure what they have in the hopper for this week. I will send a PM here shortly though. I would want you to email a certain person some photos if you could.

So far the pics I sent were incorrect and seem like I need to remove the front plastic cover on the engine to access the required sensor and I don't think i'll have time before the weekend.
