Bm3 Cary Jordan map

Anybody running a stage 2 93 octane tune from Cary Jordan on their m235? Was wondering what your putting to the wheels with fbo and how much the file costed you. Thanks

I believe f22_shayan is running a Cary Jordan custom BM3 map.

So I don't have a cary tune. That said, I have done a bunch of research and from I read he is the real deal. I have spoken to him via emails of the past few months and he has helped with what parts etc I will need to achieve my goals.

He mentioned a ps2 & hpfp should net 500-550 if that's an indication

I am in the works with him. Great quality. Day to day efforts. So far doing 19+ psi on stock turbo with e40 and meth injection. Very professional and highly recommend. Once my tune is fine tweeked, i will follow up here. Dyno rental is 150 around me, not sure if i wanna do that just for some chart with lines.

Regardless, from OTS stage 2+ BM3 to now (difference already on Version 2). More to come on timing. If its more powerful you can only imagine i am faster than OTS dynos. He is reputable and will build you a car for your needs.

Bm3 tune: Worth the $500

I went with a bm3 tuner in Miami who was offering a cheaper tune(250usd), I think he was more interested in building turbo kits for the b58(not tuning my n55)... I got like 3 revisions over like 2 months, and the tune wasnt progressing as it should. I ended up paying more because I was hesitant to dish out the cash, but Cary had me squared away with 10-12 revisions and tweaks in under 30 day. It was double the price of essentially nothing that I got from BBUSA, but as some car mod mentors have told me, tunes are not something to F%$# with. Have a pro do it.

+1 Cary

Yea, i had Cary's map on my car and it was great! substantial power increases in the midrange and top end, as far as what numbers the car was putting down, i never dynod the car on his map so im not too sure (it felt like around 420ish whp and high 4's wtq)

Hi,

Back in April I had a Cary custom tune done on a awd dyno at Maximum PSI and we put down just over 400hp and 390tq.

That was on pump 93 fuel with no supplements to the fuel system, so all OEM components. Parts installed are all the typical bolt on's (downpipe/intercooler/chargepipes/DV/exhaust/intake/colder plugs/and Pure Stage 2 turbo). BM3 tuning platform.

Better fuel, and or upgraded pumps could pull another 100 or so hp. For now, this was great for me.

Cost was around $700ish for tune and dyno time I think. Took about 8-10 pulls.

Hope this helps.

You're running a PS2 and only netting 400 whp? Shouldn't you be 100 higher?

He's likely limited by the OEM fuel pump and 93 octane fuel. He's also AWD so his numbers will be about ~20whp/wtq lower than a RWD car. Overall, the numbers and powerband look really nice.

Yes I agree the numbers do look nice. I'm in an xDrive as well. From what I've read you can achieve 400 whp with an intercooler, CL DP, chargepipe and tune, right?

You are 100% correct. I'm thinking about the fuel pump upgrade and Re-tune in the near future.

So I'm on revision 4 with Cary. Car has been awoken!

Timing reaches 16 degrees almost, psi is hitting 18 now. We are probably closing the doors on more power. DEFENITELY faster than OTS Stage2 e30.

He is quick to work, responds with revisions promptly, and works his way up safely and with procedure. 100% worth the money going to him. No bull, straight to the punch.

I'm considering a dyno session with them but I am not sure it'll be necessary. I am sure they have enough experience to push the street tune envelope pretty close. The 150$ dyno rent might only add another few hp

What software does he tune with? Could he work with maps through mhd or jb4? Or does he use bootmod3 or something else?

Pretty sure he told me he does it all but he is one of the original developers of BM3 and prefers to work with that platform. Im on BM but you can ask him about MHD. JB4, IMO is not very good for custom maps.

So question he is tuning with your meth setup so that is providing supplemental fueling? How have you set up the controller? Curious as currently I am using Torqbyte meth controller with an OTS map, so it really is just providing cooling.

Yeah fueling. 100% meth on the Snow Performance Stage 2 controller. Braided lines for added safety. Pump is activated via physical boost read (tapped into chargepipe). I run a #4 nozzle (225ml/min), conservative nozzle if running 50/50 solution but keep in mind its 100% meth. So yes it is for additional fueling. He asks for e40 mixture and is slowing the actual fuel pump down i believe. I start spray at 8psi (10% spray) with a linear increase till 16 psi (100%). might change it to 17 now that i am pushing bit more boost.

CAR IS PULLING BRO. cooling purpose didnt do it for me. I raced same car same mods, me with meth for cooling, him no meth. Tie no difference. Called Jordan Tuned next morning lol. now i cant keep traction in 2nd

Damn I might have to give him a about. I feel like for my mods I could be running faster. Also fbo+ methanol. I already have the mhd flasher and jb4 as a controller though.

Question, do you guys deal directly with Cary, or with his team in general?

Does he have a preferred contact or just go through the website contact info?

Also I'm assuming this can all be done remotely without a Dyno? Do you typically get a base map, then run a log and send it back. Then he sends you a revision? And just keep working like that till you have all the bugs worked out?

Yes you work directly with him, while at times his support comes along. Cary is usually the one to get started with you.

This can be all done remotely, yet he gives you the opportunity to dyno for free, just rent a dyno. He gives you a base map and works on that one. You make logs on that map and he has direct oversight of those logs. Dont send him anything, just let him know the logs are done.

You keep working till the car is maxed out, every revision is increased power or timing. so far i havnt experienced a single bug. program has been ideal. i am considering a dyno revision at the end for potential added power but dunno if it will be worth it.
