It shows the part working in the F30 3 series

So if a M3 mirror cap works on a F30.....and a F30 mirror cap works on a 2series....

Look not to be a Debbie downer here, but somewhere in that bunch of info, there has to be a disconnect. It is blatantly obvious that an M3 or M4 mirror cap will not just fit an M235i.

The part of the M3 mirror that uses the cover is a different shape than our 2 series mirror.



Now compare the bottom part of the 2 series:



It will not fit, and looking at your picture, it is visible clearly that the bottom part of the cover will not work on a 235 mirror, since there would be a very clear and abrupt space for the LED turn signal.

Yeah in order to fit the M3 mirror caps, you need to convert the entire power mirror base over to M3 style, the difference is the way the stalk comes out is slightly further back.

Both the F30 and I think F22 have the same style base mirror.

For the M3 conversion, it is not a cheap mod, we are looking at upwards of 2k I think for having a fully functional mirror.
