Questions about cruise control w/ brake function (S544A)

I searched but couldn't find any answers to these questions:
  • When the car brakes, does it use all four calipers and rotors or does it use the e-brake shoes and drums?
  • Is it possible to disable (code out) the braking used for speed control down hills?
  • Is it possible to disable (code out) the throttle cutoff / braking used in response to yaw in turns?
Thanks in advance for info anyone can provide.

Cruise control with braking

It uses the ABS system to actuate the disc brake calipers. I doubt if it can be disabled without some major programming.

I'm surprised that no one has any info to share on this coding.

I see no where in the Bimmercode app to do anything with the cruise control.

No, you cannot "code out" safety systems. Feature coding allows you to turn features on or off or change a value in the various control modules for lighting, iDrive, dashboard, infotainment, etc. You can turn off the Dynamic Traction Control via a button on the center console.

Thanks for the confirmation that these cruise control functions are not considered 'features' and therefore can not be disabled through 'coding'.

I am confused by your reference to turning off DTC via the button on the console. How is that related to my question?

I was referring to the one "safety" feature that you CAN turn off.
