Changing the Rad on my 2014 m235i and I’m confused unless BMW messed up

Firstly on realoem it doesn’t list this hose as part of the 2 series, luckily I found a diagram, item 17 for F30

It is the hose that goes from the trans cooler to the passenger side of the rad. There is only one way to route it due to the length and the tabs on the hoses, but when I do the hose kinks near the radiator!!!

Did BMW mess up and it’s always been like this? Or maybe the hose was defective from the factory?

The new rad is oem, I mocked it up on the old radiator to better show the issue. I’m beyond confused and hope to wrap this up, it’s taken way too long
Thanks

Can someone with a M235i please take a peek at their hose, it’s attached to the fan. Look at the radiator side connection on the passenger side

I was taking a 2500 mile round trip down to Florida so didn't see your post until I got back. Glad you got it handled.
These 235is are nice road trip cars and even more fun on the back roads. Hopefully you'll get yours sorted out soon and get to enjoy it!!

I have a similar issue with the hose coming off the bottom of the expansion tank that connects to the water pump. Its kinked no matter how I route it, but has not caused any issues with temp or air in the system for 10's of thousands of miles. If anyone happens to have a pic of how theirs was routed, or know the correct way, I'd be interested to see it. My plan is to just swap in a new hose when I change the Tsat and WP for the second time, and hope for the best.

Picture of the hose in question below. It is easiest to check it out with the passenger wheel liner removed, which I didn't do the first time I changed the WP. I didn't notice the kink until I had already driven with it kinked for months while doing some other service. I have tried routing the house above and also around the oil cooler block, but it won't reach the bottom of the tank. Appreciate any help if anyone knows the correct routing.

I see that the hose goes under the oil cooler.

Are you sure it’s kinked when installed? It needs a longer path if it’s kinked

Here are some pics

Thanks for taking the time to check. The picture of it kinked is with the expansion tank in it's installed position, taken with the wheel well liner removed for visibility. Maybe I wasn't careful enough when routing it the first time and it got creased and needs to be replaced now. Car has been running fine for thousands of miles with it like this. I'll change it when I do the WP and TSAT again.
