N63tu1 Oil Consumption Settlement
I'm sorry I know this was covered before but search is failing me today.
Anyway, wanted to get clarity on what options we still have regarding this settlement (https://bimmerlife.com/2021/08/14/up...moves-forward/). My N63tu with ~75k is now suddenly going through more oil that it did in the past. Unfortunately, most of my drives since 2020 are very short drives since I don't commute to work anymore, so not sure if that's what causing the excessive oil consumption of 1qt per 1k miles vs 1qt per ~2k miles before. I read through the pamphlet I got in the mail about our options and I'm not sure what the Feb 9, 2021 date is suppose to mean. Was that the cutoff for making a claim? I want to take the car to the dealership to have the free oil consumption test performed, but the service rep I talked to didn't know what I was talking about. Any insights would be extremely appreciated. If I still have any chance at this, I want to take advantage of it before the car hits 80k and my share of the cost doubles. https://bimmerlife.com/2021/08/14/up...moves-forward/

Dropped my Z4 off at the dealer yesterday for windshield replacement and then asked about the N63 oil consumption settlement again. This service advisor knew about the program and was very helpful. Basically need to bring my 550i in for 2 oil consumption tests (spaced out), send in the results to BMW, then wait for them to respond on next steps. Fingers crossed.
