Caps snap on and off.
I probably shouldn't have ordered them. I have since decided to take the car into the body shop on monday to have the tail lights and markers tinted and the roof painted gloss black, so I could have just had the originals painted too. Was going to wrap the roof and stay away from the paint shop, but the wrap guy said it would only last about 2 years.

These are 110 has anyone bought these and put them on?
Careful look - these are a cheap CF wrap over plastic, you can tell from the inside shots. Since the MP ones can be had for $520/set from getbmwparts.com, I am interested in something cheaper as well.

I looked at a few others on ebay as well, all of them are cheaper looking CF covers. Not sure they would stand up to a close inspection. Will keep on looking. Has anyone compared some ebay v. MP side by side in person?

Yeah, had to fix my post. I had a bookmark on some ebay ones at $150/set, but they are sold now and were plastic inside as well.

Since I plan on getting the CF spoiler though, having them match will be important to me. That and not fading over time in the sun/weather.

Up to you. They are still just plastic look-alikes. As far as I know, only the MP ones are actual CF and will match the CF Spoiler.

Might be that AC Schnitzer has true CF ones? Not sure.

I would to this.

As of my mineral gray 220 I painted them to match the wheels (silver), maybe a sin for most in the forum and doubtfull at the begining, but Now they are growing on me.

The price is for a pair.
I am 0 for 2.

DO NOT BUY from seller tuningstore1949 or owolf_carbon

Both do not fit properly and are not good quality. I was at least able to get my money back from owolf_carbon but tuningstore1949 is giving me the run around and won't refund my money.

Here are the links for the ones I tried to buy.

Has anyone tried simply wrapping the mirror covers? I was thinking of using vinyl to simulate the sportline trim of the 228i - gloss black mirrors and interior dash with the red strip all vinyl. I figure it'll help change the look inside and out while keeping costs to a minimum. I appreciate adding in aesthetics, but not in spending close to a grand for dash trim pieces and mirror covers on a leased vehicle, when that money can be used for better parts.

At a significantly higher cost, right? How much did they run you?

Perhaps paying up is worth it just to avoid the hassle of dealing w unreliable products.
