m240 rear subframe vibration dampener

Hey everyone. Had an f30 335i prior to the 240, it did not have the subframe vibration dampener, I want to run a diff brace, preferable the Turner one, I think the bms one has a cut out for it, but can this dampener be removed? Is it actually for vibration or for noise? Sorry if this is stupid, but ya.

It can be removed, but not without dropping the subframe down, the bolt won't come out otherwise. I just cut the bolt and called it good.
