I got some from Amazon. Same thing. Clouding and bubbling and I protect them like crazy. This is a common theme. I'm looking to replace them with M Performance ones or just go back to stock and maybe wrap them. At least I can just replace the wrap whenever.

Not good. I have a set in transit from China so I'm assuming I'll experience the same thing. I ordered a bottle of Krylon clear UV which is designed for platic, metal, wood, etc. and is suppposed to protect from fading. I guess I'll have to see if it actually works.

i had a pair of ebays that lasted 2 years until cloudyness in some areas.

I swapped them out for the m cf mirrors now, not impressed.
All it does is add more noise and add drag.

Are those the ones with the hook on them that curves inward towards the car? They looked really cool I was thinking about getting them, if you're having noise and drag though I think I'll skip it.

I just installed these yesterday. eBay special from China with pretty good fit and finish. I wonder if a good UV protectant would prevent the premature fading on these things? Any recommendations on a good UV product like Chemical Guys, 303, etc.?

Those look good bub good idea with the protectant. I was looking on Alibaba at some CF M style ones. It's weird I've heard people say the noise sucks and I've heard people say there's no noise at all. I wouldn't want any noise or extra drag at anything sub 100mph though. If you don't mind me asking what do you pay for yours? The ones I was looking at were about $75USD I believe.

I would take it to a body shop, leave it with them and tell them to clear coat it the next time they do any clear coating. That's your best way of UV protecting the CF.

I paid $66-68 or somewhere around there. Make sure you read the description carefully because a lot of sellers are trying to sell the double sided tape cap covers and trying to pass it off as replacements. I'd recommend messaging the seller and making sure they are the ones with actual clips and not covers with double sided tape.

The wind noise is from the M2 style mirror because of its odd shape. Mine were the exact replacement caps and looks OEM save for the carbon fiber. No wind noise at all.

old bump, just trying to install the CF caps, nada is working. The amount of "pop" to get mirror out must be silly, I have great tool for.

And its so tight even a credit card won't work with he man theory...I can rebuild top 1/2 of old v6, but this ? arrrgghghhhh

I had to pop the mirrors out to replace the caps. Careful if you go that route - driver's side came out relatively easy, but I ended up breaking the glass on the passenger side. Ended up being about $120 to replace it (got the OEM part discounted from $170). Wires for the heating elements are soldered on, so it's a slight pain if you run into the same problem.

Has anyone tried wrapping these in body color. I’m having difficulty finding the correct white for a 15 M235.

Lol, I was going to ask the same thing. I found a perfect match for Estoril Blue with CF pattern. Want to wrap it, but would ask others who gone this route a question or two.

Did you pop the glass out first or just pulled the covers off?

I was able to pop the stock caps right off, not sure why people pop the mirrors off first. No broken tabs either.

You have to pop mirrors for OEM CF but only those. Attach with screws from the inside.
