I just heard about Carbon-X but haven't read up on it much. LCN's site was sold out by Sat morning. GCI still had a few hundred bags left. Looking at GCF's site, it looks like there is a variant w/ prodiamine and LCN has a version w/ RGS. Maybe I'll revisit it later when I have the brain cycles to make sense of the variants and who sells what. I don't want prodiamine in the back/sides since I plan to overseed. I don't want the RGS version if I'm going to put down RGS already but I want some P for where I overseed.

I was going to put down the RGS today but it snowed yesterday/last night soooo....yeah. I was hoping to get a starter fert put down during the week since it is supposed to rain a little bit and that'd help water it in but I wanted to put the RGS down first. I also need to read up on when it would be best to fit in the Humic Acid during the season (vice another application of RGS in the fall). I can wait until the LT arrives next Sat. That way I can mow & aerate first.

At present, my noob thought was:
1. mow/aerate
2. thrown down RGS (entire lawn)
3. starter fert in the back/sides (was thinking Lesco Starter Fert, 18-24-12)
4. overseed the back/sides
5. thrown 'something' down in the front (Milo...maybe try Carbon X...something)

Until the snow yesterday, wkly avg soil temps cleared 50F. It'll be back above that this week. I also have weeds popping up since I skipped pre-emergent this spring since I'd overseed (probably could've still done it in the front yard, though). I'll have to blast those w/ something. I have plenty of Q4 from my past crabgrass wars.

the RGS in the CarbonX to me is just a bonus. not only that but it also has all your necessary micronutrients as well. this in the long run is actually much cheaper than Milorganite. I usually need 10 bags of Milo for my yard whereas I only need 1 bag of CarbonX. I ordered 2 bags since this should take care of my fertilizer needs for the rest of the year

I have a 4 gallon backpack sprayer so I combine both RGS/Humic12. apply mid Spring and that another Mid summer and that's it. I try to keep it simple and not over do it.

my regimen every year is early spring I would pretty much cut the dormant grass down to an inch to get rid of all the brown, dead grass.
Than dethatch/aerate. wait a week or 2 for the plugs to break down than throw down my pre emergent for crabgrass. the following week is when I apply my first app of RGS/Humic12. about May is when you'll start to see the broadleafs coming in like dandylions and clover. I usually spot spray for those.

I'm kidding - I like them. My FIL just picked one up about a year ago, he really enjoys it. I like the styling Lexus has, but I do wish they'd put a little more "oompf" into their engines. I feel like their competition is leaving them behind.

Thanks for posting!

This is my second IS. I bought a 2011 in '13. Wanted an ISF and just couldn't justify spending the money. So far I keep it in Eco mode in order to save money on gas....and speeding tickets. This is the F Sport and putting it in sport mode drastically changes the "oompf" factor. By no means is it slow.

True....faster than my little 128i.

When I was going to buy the other one I mentioned, I had test driven a few and was pretty impressed by how much "get-up" they did have.

But my butt-dyno is kind of skewed by my Corvette!

Also see you got a color that I always tend to gravitate to. My Corvette is Silver...and most of my cars have been silver or black. The F Sport I was looking to buy was White as I was wanting a change.

My 128i ended up being white. First White car I have owned and I have to say it is growing on me.

I've never owned a white car, but was considering it with this one. F Sports are notorious for their red seats, which I am not a fan. The white IS I was looking at had the red seats and this one was all black interior, which is why I went for this one. I tend to buy graphite, grey and black. I'm starting to notice more and more white cars, that whole stormtrooper thing is growing on me.

Nice 1'er!

Handheld compressor.

Honestly bought this puppy on sale. Fantastic for the track. Was able to set the tire pressure I wanted for the track and it would auto turn off at that point. I didn't even have it fully charged, it put 5 - 8 psi in all 4 tires without any issue or fade. Great for the tool kit on track day imho.
