Pretty sure Bran warged into the ravens or whatever to fly up to NK, who'd then be able to tell where Bran was, to lure NK there.

Really stupid of NK not to just merc Bran immediately instead of having all the wights stand around chilling for a while. Why not just fly up with his dragon and obliterate him and Theon? I mean I get why for entertainment reasons, but cmon.

There was also WAY too much plot armor going on. Grey Worm, Brienne, Ghost, Jorah (at first), Tormund, Jaime, etc all on the front line defending against the dead, and most of them make it? No major character deaths outside the walls, except for Jorah much later on? No major character deaths in the crypts? No zombie Rob Stark? Gimme a break. Way too few major character deaths. We needed more in order for the army of the dead to meet the hype. Would have loved to see the ice dragon just torch Jon Snow while he was on the dragon fighting NK in the sky.

Overall, way too hollywood of a plot so far this last season. I like this show because things go wrong and major characters never feel safe. I guess we'll see what Cersei has up her sleeve, but I'm not as optimistic anymore.

The fight scene was entertaining overall though. They did a good job of not boring us with too much of any one scene.

I think the Hound would have to win. While GoT traditionally did not have any kind of "plot armor", they've shown (particularly in the last episode) that some people are just unkillable (as someone else pointed out).

The mountain just isn't that big of a character, figuratively speaking.

Looks more and more like we'll get the fan demanded CLEGANBOWL, though I'm not sure how it's going to go now. I used to think the Hound was going to be mortally wounded by the Mountain, but aided to final victory by surprise help from Arya.

However, after last night they can't just keep using Arya over and over again I don't think?

Anybody but Sansa needs to win the thing, she hasn't done a damned thing ever!

I wasn't impressed. And that ending??? After all the work all the other characters do, in fighting, NK just walks in then gets whacked by some little girl who pulls a basic smash/grab/deflection move and all is saved from 1000 years of cold/night?????

All we heard leading up to last night for years and years is that Bran was the most important character in the end. So what happens last night? He sits in his chair looking weird as usual while thousands are dying all around him and does nothing.

I'm with you. I hate Bran and that whole story line. Best season was what 3, 4, the season where Bran was just gone. Literally had zero scenes. Loved that. I read the dude is damn near blind without glasses in real life. He doesn't wear contacts in his scenes which is how he achieves that blank "I'm looking through you" stare.

I freakin LOVE that Arya killed the NK. My only gripe is that she came flying in screaming. She's this stealthy assassin. Come on. Would have been so damn cool if she had stolen the face of a white walker and silently broke free of the crowd to go all stabby stabby on the NK before he even knew what was up.

That would have been epic. The should have absolutely brought that back. I was also disappointed with her randomnly leaping in from nowhere.

Anyone else feeling it was a missed opportunity in how the scene in the crypt was handled? The dead Starks are coming back and they kinda glossed over the whole thing. I wanted to see dead, now not so dead, Katlyn on the freakin' attack. Make Sansa put her down. Something, anything.

There were missed opportunities all over this episode. When the dead started rising in the crypt I jumped. I was extremely excited to finally see which dead Starks made the cut and all we got was a bunch extras... No one of significance. Just a bunch of no name skeletons. Huge let down.
