KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB = aktiv
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA = aktiv Those were already active... I changed KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN to Werte 00 Still doesn't work.. BTW When I coded FDL, I got a warning saying my frontal crash warning was deactivated and to see the dealer.. I didn't make any code changes other than the KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN = Werte 00. Any ideas what I should try next?

Read Back coding and make sure KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN shows Werte 00.

I can fold/unfold the mirrors with the fob. With comfort access, it will unfold, but won't fold... I guess I need to make sure I've got ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN active. I know I checked it before, but who knows... Maybe I forgot to save it.. Thanks again for your help.

On the F 30 cheat sheet it says ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN Fold Mirrors when holding lock on Key Fob or Comfort Access And KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA isn't listed... Hmmm.. Let me go check what I coded.. But I could swear that when I checked before FB and PA were both active.

This is what I have active:
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN and KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN = Werte 00 ========= UPDATE.. Went for a drive.. came back and now the mirrors fold when I use comfort access.. No code changes made .. This is really strange..

Does decoding 5AP (aka anti-dazzle) work actually as expected?
For other models, I've seen people comment that the US headlights are no longer the same as the euro ones, so decoding 5AP can actually blind oncoming drivers (source). But from looking at realoem for MY15 M235i (as well as MY17 M240i), it appears that the part numbers were always different between the US and Europe. It seems like 8S4 is safe to decode, but maybe we should be actively adivising people against decoding 5AP. |

My lights seem to be doing much of what's described in the videos that BMW released describing the anti-dazzle feature, although another forum member (Almaretto) told me I may be blinding other drivers because the U.S. spec headlights don't have the microshutters that the Euro spec does. But based on the light pattern I see and the lack of opposing drivers flashing their lights at me, that does not appear to be the case, although I don't want to imply Almaretto is incorrect as he knows far more about these lights and coding than I do. My own guess is that my lights are doing "something like" what the European Anti-Dazzle lights do, but perhaps not as well as a car equipped with the Euro spec headlights. Based on my experience I would encourage you to try it and let us know what you think. If you don't like the results you can always revert back to the factory setting. I do have to say that both my GF and I feel very strongly that the changes to the headlights are terrific and unquestionably increase visibility and safety as well as dramatically increase the ability of the automatic highbeam feature. |

"I believe that in the US you don't get the full Adaptive array - in mine, I just leave the Adaptive full-beam on and on unlit roads, it drops the offside full-beam when it sees headlights approaching. But leaves the driver's nearside full-beam on, to illuminate the nearside kerb. This is in addition to raising or dropping the full beam directly ahead, and 'boxing' the car in front with a non-illuminated rectangle that moves up/down and left/right as the car ahead follows the road. And in lit areas, the manual says it alters the headlight spread to be flatter (separate to the usual left/right follow-the-turn). So I wonder if to do all this, it may actually use lights in this space, that are not fitted in US builds?" Again, I'm no expert, but I'm fairly certain I'm seeing everything he is reporting, although I can't say I've noticed the headlight spread being flatter in lit areas. And again, I'm thinking it likely does not work as well without the Euro spec lights. One other benefit I may have not mentioned before...the automatic highbeams now work with the vehicle speed as slow as 25 mph. As I suggested above, try it and see if you appear to get the same results as we do. If it is not to your liking it should be easy enough to deactivate it. |

I had my car coded today for led turn lights, but the LEDs are not working.
Normal bulbs work, but the LEDs just stay dark. The LEDs and the electrical connection are fine. Could it be that the voltage is reversed? I had Warm and Kaltüberwachung coded off, the pwm_level1 set to 89 and the Ueberspannungsschutz off as well as Is_LED set to active. Any suggestions? I only rarely see that UE_SPG_SCHUTZ is set to nicht aktive, could this be an issue? Tried different LEDs but still no luck. Last edited by bmw_fascinated; 07-16-2017 at 11:03 AM.. |

Am I going to need updated eSys and PSDZData for my 2017 M2 than I used for my 2014 228i? I would expect I'd need at least newer data?
Can I get links to any of the necessary updates? Thanks! |
