Just finished breaking in my 6mt 2018 sunset orange m240i with MP rear diffuser and MPE! Went to twisted sisters and Austin this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed this car.
I see a couple m235s in uptown area, indeed not as common as it ought to be.

I've been wondering about them, too. What made you decide on this shop vs others? What tuning solution are you going with?

I live out in E Texas but I do come into DFW frequently for track events and to have work performed on my car. (Also occasional shopping and Costco run)
Texas Track Works in FT Worth is the best shop hands down if you to get real performance out of the car. I make the 3.5 hr drive just to have them work on my car. The best part is that they are fast. They build race cars and support race teams so they are used to replacing suspension and drive train components on the fly. That being said, they installed my LSD, Ohlin Coilovers, and Camber plates while I waited.

Any recommendations in the DFW area for a charge pipe and intercooler install? I don't have garage space to do it, nor the torx bits. I've called around to a few shops and some want an arm and both legs.

If you don't have a garage, you can go to a garage where you can DIY with rented tools. There's one in Plano called Jack Junkies: http://www.jackjunkies.com/index.html |

Texas Track Works knows these cars very well and can do it at a very reasonable price.

Was working on my car today trying to get the dinan springs on the front. I got stuck trying to remove the end link from the strut.
I used a t30 torx and 5/8” socket and was able to remove the nut. However the end link didn’t want to swivel out from the strut. I tried using a hydraulic jack to relieve pressure from the bottom, but to no avail. Any ideas? |

Not sure if you found your answer. Can't say in terms of prices, but Classic BMW in Plano has pretty rich history. They are one of the few family owned dealerships around and know what they're doing. They host the monthly DFW cars and coffee and has a garage full of their own BMW race cars.

Beautiful Texas winter recently, I'm itching to go into the wine country! Anyone know of a group drive?

I might be down for a group drive, if you want to set something up. Later this month, the Lone Star Chapter of BMWCCA is holding an event (awards banquet for 2018 AX but they're also doing dyno sessions) at Auto Scope. I don't know too much about it, though. |

Any recommended roads around? Twisted sisters is always bit of a commitment driving from Dallas. Will probably go to a couple of their AX this year then!

No idea on roads around here. About a decade ago when I led some cruises, I used the country roads north and east of McKinney, but haven't really done a cruise in so long. I've also never been to Twisted Sisters. Check out www.dfwautocross.com for local ax clubs' calendars, if you're interested in attending! |
