Do you have any mods on it such as jb4? Also bumpy roads and hitting them to fast could throw off the sensor. Usually only happens with snow/mud building up on the sensors. I only have the issues after putting the jb4 back on after service

No mods, both times died on the freeway doing 70. Wife’s car and she nearly got killed both times. California freeways...the engine just shuts down and throws the error.
Monday, Took it to the dealer and the paperwork says low fuel pressure warning. All they did was put gas in it, ran a software update, error still present, put more gas in it, error went away and they gave it back. Service advisor told me they replaced a fuel transfer switch but they really didn’t. Now sitting there for the second time, same issue. The tech said, the 2018 2 series are having the issue. Of course he said that confidentially. Anyone heard of this? |

My drivers door actuator and cables broke....replaced by dealer.
Also, my A/C was worked on by dealer (replaced some part probably $5) in regards to it freezing up an no air blowing through the vents on hot/humid days. Found out my 3 year subscription for BMW connected expired in March (I thought it was 4). Last map update was 2017-1 and I complained about why I never got one for 1 year-3 months. BMW Assist people basically wouldn't talk to me unless I payed $50 to renew the subscription (I responded why would I pay for something that I got no server for 1+ years...to no answer). |

This is the video I used for reference. Only tricky part is removal of all the electronics which he did not cover. I just took a lot of photos of the wire routing and once it was all apart I matched my wiring to the photos.
Also the torque spec of the steering bolt is 62Nm

Washed, clayed, waxed, admired. Not bad for 75,000 miles of daily driver use.

The license plate strongly points to the need for psychiatric care on the grounds of chronic feelings of inadequacy coupled with a need to overshare. The M240 is not a fake anything. It is a touring car, a road car, and a very good one.
Advertising one's own lack of self-worth is very unhealthy. |

No need to psychoanalyze people. Plate is meant to be funny and a personal opinion and taste of his. Let’s not bash people for their cars and what they’ve done to them. Ultimately they design it to their taste because they’re the ones who drive them daily, not you. Thanks

And I wish I got my 240 in white. Really enjoy the panda theme on these cars (white with black accents).

Stopped by BMW dealer on way home, bought an M coupe, and never looked back. Well, once. Last winter, tried to deal with now Germaine expressing interest in Golf R. They were not responsive. BMW M240i convertible xDrive. I'm happy and hope they are. No, really, I hope they rot. |

You never know what type of response you'll get walking into a car dealership showroom. I'm mid 50's and typically dressed in office or weekend casual attire and many times I'll walk into a showroom with sales folks sitting around or chatting with each other and spend 10-20 minutes browsing without even receiving a "hello". Other times I'll have two or three different sales folks approach me within a 20 minute time frame asking what I am interested in. I'd like to say x brand is better than y brand or luxury dealers are more or less friendly with their potential customers, but it really seems to me to be completely random. The last few cars I was seriously looking for, as opposed to just "shopping", I contacted the dealership ahead of time by email to see if potential models I was interested in were available, and to basically get the name of someone to ask for when I went into the dealership to look.
The only exception to that was my M235i. In that case I was actually at the dealership several months before looking for a car for my wife (X3) and a salesman approached me in a very non threatening way, we struck up a brief conversation and once he learned I was looking at the X3 he offer one up to test drive equipped similar to what I was looking for. They just made a copy of my license and gave me the keys and said take it for drive and let us know what you and your wife think. They even offered it overnight if I wanted. My wife ended up preferring the Audi Q5, but I was so impressed with the salesman and the experience, when it came time for me to get a new car, I emailed him and told him what I was interested in and he had it ready for me to test drive a few days later by appointment. Needless to say we struck a deal that worked for both of us and I have since sent him 3 more customers who ended up buying from him. So you never know walking into a dealership.

In general it's the luck of the draw since your experience at the dealer is entirely up to the sales folk. The dealership GM has some influence as they are the ones hiring, but at the end of the day the sales people on shift sets the tone of your experience at the dealership. It's also typically an industry with lots of turnover, so at some point a warm body is better than no body.
In general though, by the time a sales person "make" their way up the chain to selling luxury cars, they are generally better versed in the art of the sale. YM(Will)V. |

Installed some new Michelin PS4S tires on my 19’s. My first impressions are that they’re much quieter than the PSS’s and a step up in dry/wet grip. They were basically the same price, and I’d suspect these will wear much better too..
