pikcachu Hi. Is it possible to safely remove the speed limiter in a M240i via coding and without touching de ECU ?
Is it true that i only have 10 hours to remove the speed limiter via coding??? Removing the speed limiter via coding affects the overall performance of the car (worst/better) ??? Thanks in advance. |

Yes, you have 10 operating hours to do it... keep in mind that the car was probably run 1hr or so during transportation so you probably have 8-9... No, it won't affect the performance. It will just let you go till 150 instead of 130 I've never tried this coding myself ...but it's the same as enabling enhanced bluetooth.... just VO coding.... You might want to connect the battery to a charger as you can not have the car running while coding the DME Last edited by pikcachu; 11-07-2016 at 06:12 PM.. |

You definitely need to use a PSU or jump to another vehicle because you CANNOT have engine running and must maintain battery voltage during process.

Question for you - or anyone else, really. I did do a search on the thread, but because I can't really think of a specific term - I get a billion results. Recently did some coding - props & thanks to you for the cheat sheet. Awesome. I noticed that after I coded, the halos/rear LED bar no longer stay on once I open my door. Not a real big deal, just wondering if anyone else encountered this & if there is a means to fix it. I know I coded nothing weird or did something by mistake. I made very specific changes. If I had to guess, I think one or both of these two may have done it: Code door unlock with engine off Code MMI/NAV off with engine off & door pull

It seems the mapping is wrong on Esys - even thought I have the latest PZDATA (P3.59.5). My I-step is F020-16-07-506. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Indeed, it wasn't wrong
I've re-coded a bunch of things (my car had a NBT upgrade at the dealership). After having activated the variable distribution lights, I've noticed that the lights are moving left and right when I move the steering wheels. However, they are barely moving when I turn left. Do you have any idea why? |

If you had copy of your files from when you think it was functioning as desired, you could use TM's NCD / CAFD tool (NCD Compare Resource).

It turned out that the lights are moving left when I'm driving, so everything is fine.
I was coding additional things today and had an issue. While I was coding some features on "FEM BODY", my computer lost the connection with the car because the car shut down. The coding finished in an error. After having restarted everything, I was able to connect back to the car but not when I try to read the coding data on FEM BODY I have the following error message. FEM_BODY [40] [ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ] readCPS o.k. CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler: File for "cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012] Any idea on how to solve that knowing that I don't have a copy of the original file.... |

Now you must try and inject CAFD into ECU and VO Code it. Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on desired FEM_BODY => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM_BODY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

Thanks for this thread. Coded my car no worries.
It's easy and fun! I've added digital speed to the cluster. That works just as I'd expected it to: toggle through the display using the button on the turn signal lever. Is there a way to change the units displayed? I'm in Canada so it reads in km/h. Can I code that to MPH? Like adding the Speed Display, can I remove other options? I would not miss Average and Instant MPG and Average Speed. And thanks again for putting this together. Well done! |

Currently trying to install a MOST bus pre-amp (mObridge DA3) in my f22 and need a little coding help, so I though id ask here.
Anyone know what to code or VO code to get digital audio output through the MOST bus instead of the analog copper? Perhaps just VO coding for option S677A or something. The mObridge guys said it is possible for the f22 but it's a little tricky. Thanks! |
