About that 900mb file, just remember the last 3 digits KBxxxx285 I think it was some update for win10 1511 version.I even needed the latest firmware for my Surface Pro.Since I have not used it for a while, hence the big size for that KB update?
Anyway the Surface Pro is up to date until Aug/2/16 right?A side note:Was reading on Betanews.com that after the BIG update, one can not disable many annoying parameters any longer.Windows 10 could use some CODING,if you know what I mean.
You can write your own cheat sheets into E-sys using the examples as guides.

There are tweaks to disabling functions in windows that you do not use, but not all are native to Windows.

Thanks,I have to to look into those guides.

The program I'm using to keep Microsoft spying to a minimum is

O&O ShutUp10 1.3.1358.1.If you don't have it already, please check it out.It has plenty of switches to turn things off.Just have to see, what it still can do after the mother of all updates.

Thanks but Microsoft and the NSA can do all the spying they want. I have nothing to hide.

However, just because a person doesn't want their constitutional rights trampled on doesn't mean that they do have something to hide.

Question for all, especially for the Top guns.I might be wrong about this, but I recall reading somewhere about a 'Transmission Interlock',that prevents you from moving the car at all, while the Driver door or any door is open. So,if this is true, did anyone look into what could be done coding wise?Like changing Aktiv to Nicht Aktiv.Just wondering.
I think the trans would go into P or N,just don't remember.

In certain situations, it is tied to whether seat belt is buckled. You can take vehicle out of park with with door open. However, if you start rolling in drive or reverse with seat belt unbuckled, it will go back into park. In neutral, you can roll with seat belt unbuckled.

It is not the only feature that is tied to seat belts. At least in my case, electronic brake does not auto-release if seat belt is unbuckled.

Very informative indeed. So,if I understand you right,as long as I'm buckled,I could open the drivers door, and drive in reverse for what ever reason. And the trans should not go into park,am I right?
Any idea,if somebody has looked into possible coding on this at all?It is not a must have feature, but than again I would not mind changing the value to my
likens.
Thanks again for your always helpful input.

Yes, that is the way I am told it explained in the owner's manual.

I have never found the need to Ghost ride the Whip, but you may be able to tape over the sensors. As far as coding this out, I know not.

Getting errors when I try to read coding data. Fem_body sadly is one of them. Error says fem_body_40_ethernet doesn't map to an item. Do I just need latest data files? Thanks.

Yeah, I've been able to code several times. First time I've coded since June though. Other ECU's are able to load, but I'm guessing that it would not be a good idea to code them. For instance, I really just want to disable asd and that ecu loaded just fine.

Hmmm, I disconnected everything and started over again and all is well now. :/ I must have selected the wrong model on connect or something?

Ive also found out, by accident that if you shut the engine off while in "drive", it will automatically put the care in "Park".

Yup. If you code NAV/Radio off with open door and hit "Stop" to Park, you really minimize the buttons required to shutdown vehicle.

I'm having issues since BMW updated my ECU. I've been unable to see the FEM_Body and other folders. Everything seems to be working fine, just no information within...do I need the latest PSdZData?

Shawn, the link you sent me doesn't work any longer. I've got the latest E-Sys and am updating it now...just need the PSdZData please.

I've coded fine in the past...this is strange.
