My 2016 M235. Went with 35% on all the windows except for the back, which is 25%. Tails are 50% to soften the red, which is a little darker than I would have liked. The film certainly looked lighter before it was installed. Reflectors are blacked out with vinyl. All signal / brake / reverse lights are LED w/coding. Still can't believe that BMW puts incandescent in these cars. Carbon fiber mirror covers with 50% on the mirror signals is harder to see but makes a big difference on the black car.

^^ Looking good man, love the de-badged look, and the tails look pretty decent too. Any more pics of the tails?

Thanks. Here is another shot. Pretty dreary day here in socal. I was trying to go for an OEM type look, something like Tesla is doing with the slightly tinted lights. I didn't have any shots before or in the sunlight. The finish on the vinyl coating is actually like a matte with only a little gloss. Would have preferred a glossy finish like lights were originally, but again the film looked different on the car than it did on the roll at the shop.

New to the forum and found this thread. Good stuff!
Mine is the 2015 M235i Performance Edition (Canada spec), black sapphire metallic, 6MT, stock. This car was supposed to come with 19's (624M) as below, but I opted to stay with the stock 18's. I'm in the process of ordering a new summer set-up right now (18's).

Haha, yes it is! Nice one man. I actually really like those wheels on your car, but I just think 18's are a better fit for these cars. If I could have got those wheels in 18 I'd have them for sure.

Nice to see another MPE car, I've only seen one or two members on here with them, but there's 50 out there. Curious as to what you picked your car up for, considering no 624 wheels?

Got a chance to wash her up good yesterday, however it's still in between winter/spring so I'm a few weeks away from going ape-nuts on the detailing. Not bad for a quick hand wash, though! Notice the remaining snow still melting away? lol.. |

Hi there folks. New guy from CA, enjoying his 2018 M240i with lots of CF bits.
Wow. Never thought I'd drive an Inline-6 with this kind of performance envelope! As soon as I'm authorized to post pics, I will gladly share with you, what Zymol Concours wax / glaze looks like on M-240i BSM paint. I'm a 25 year Zymol customer / fanboy - no professional association. I pay retail. Pretty amazing stuff though. This Forum is one of the major reasons I ended up buying the M240i. And this particular thread is one of the major reasons mine is Murdered-Out Black. Thank You. I guess you know how much I appreciate it. |
