Can you code Automatic Highbeams feature without the actual option? And if Yes, how would you turn it on or off, in idrive?
I am also wondering if something like manual rev matching can be coded? I assume most likely not....

You would have to replace the left stalk to include the auto high beam button

Also you need the cameras in the mirror

Most definitely not worth it.

I don't think you can code rev matching

I have the collision warning and lane assist camera, I might have read wrong that it's some option that can also be enabled in iDrive (as well as that left switch)

PS. Getting the cable on Saturday, will be watching those YouTubes in OP, hopefully won't screw up anything

Ah yeah if you have the collision thing then you have the cameras. But you would still need the left stalk with the extra button

So I got the cable, watched the YouTube 101, will try tomorrow...

One question so far, do you press Code FDL for each change done or can you code all changes at once?

Do I understand this right: connect, read all data from car, disconnect, make all necessary changes, connect to car and code them in by pressing Code FDL, right?

Thanks again!

You can code FDL only one unit at a time... So you can make all changes to say FEM_BODY and then code fdl all the changes with one click... If your changes are spread around 3 ecus then you will need to code fdl once for each

Yes, that's correct.... you don't really need to disconnect, but if you are going to make a lot of changes is better so you don't have to have the car running for no reason

I just installed the latest E-Sys files on my laptop.Went all smooth.Thanks Shawn!
Have a couple of questions...when choosing the chassis,I did not expect F22,F23 etc.to show up under chassis option.Until my install,and reading plenty of messages on this truly great board,I thought when the time comes,I would choose F20.Anyway I picked F22,since my M235i 2016 is an F22,Right?One more question for now,(there might be many more to come)what does FDL stand for?Still waiting for my cable.
Thanks for any replies in advance.

And done..... everything went smoothly. Thanks.

You can add the drivers seat easy access feature to coding sheet as well, tested and works

FDL Coding:
SM2 -> 3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = Modus_FA_SLV
SM2 -> 3012 EAH -> EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 28
SM2-> 3012 EAH -> EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 3C"

1st line enables the feature other 2 might not be needed since they customize how far seat moves etc

What exactly is easy access? That when the seats move back and up for entry?

yeah just moves the seat when you open and close the door. only 1st line needed, unless your seat is already far back, then might need the other 2 lines.

As far as VLD...

This line: LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y also asks you if car is equiped with AFS or not and default is without AFS. Should this be changed ?

Best is just to modify the FA and VO code so you don't miss anything

I know somebody posted the individual changes to on some previous post I would just follow that

Thanks. Not sure how to do that yet, only done Code FDL so far

I did notice that when you select F20 w/ AFS, LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y values change accordingly to whats in cheat sheet. So I assume you dont really need to change the values but activate AFS instead

Got info from here by the way:
