No doubt - I am amazed I survived an 80hp Subaru!

68.75 years and counting.
I tend to keep my cars stock. I'm very happy with my M235i. In fact, it's nice knowing this car can blow the doors off of the '60's era muscle cars.

73 years old.
My last sporty car was a Porsche 911 GT3, which I used as a HPDE instructor. Can't do that any more, but the M235i is a reasonable substitute and a terrific street car. Mine is box-stock. -Karl |

Nearly 42. I could not imagine having a car like this in my teens, 20s, and even 30s. The reason being, the bar is set high so the expectation would be something even nicer for the next car. It's a viscous cycle. I guess my income isn't on par with some of those younger persons on this site......or perhaps I'm more frugal with my money.

GT3, Wow. I've avoided driving a P car because I'm afraid what it might do to my retirement acct. Considered a 997.2 6MT vs. my M235i. I commute 30 miles a day in pretty congested traffic so was looking for a fun DD. Plus I'm guessing the 997 would have been another $25K and 5 yrs older.

About the college prices, they're just absurd. So many people have to take out loans, it's like paying a mortgage on a second house. Wouldn't be surprised if some of my friends end up with kids of their own before they can pay off student debt... |

After 1 year in the M235i, I recently bought a 16-year Craigslist miata for 5k bucks to daily and, if I'm being honest, sometimes I love it even more than the 2.

I bought a 1988 M6 when I was 35. I'm now 59 and my only consumer debt consists of two 0% interest loans which will be paid off this year as well as a short term auto loan for the 2er.
One thing I know I won't be saying on my deathbed is: "I wish I had bought practical anodyne automotive appliances instead of the entertaining machines I ended up with..."

I've lived with all used vehicles (still pretty nice ones though) up to this point. my newest being a 04 Denali truck I bought in 2012 and paid off in just over a year. Had you told me just a few years ago I would soon own a brand new BMW I would have said no freakin way. I saved and saved and now I'm waiting for delivery for my fully loaded M235i |

27 IT Engineer over here as well, but purchased a Certifiied Pre-Owned instead. Saved tons of money and used that for some fun mods! Also saved tons of money by switching to Gieco! (True story)
The day I purchase new will be to experience the European Delivery Program. |

Insurance depends...liberty mutual had best rates before I bought the 235, now it's Geico. $80 difference a month between Geico and Liberty Mutual for me and I'm 34.

I am about to join the same club! (deployed for another week, and) I will be coming home to my new M235i and a 1997 NA Miata I was given by my mother in law. It's a POS but man, it's a hoot to drive.
