However they want to name doesnt matter. It just HAS to happen.
If you look at M car development , especially the forthcoming M3 you have around a two year delay from the standard car arriving on the market to the yet to be launched M3. Which given its on sale date is later than sooner.
Expect such a timeframe for the BMW M2.

It's not going to be tomorrow. But the M235i is going to be the perfect current solution ahead of a long wait.

The Autobild car is a European specification 220d which for many will be the de facto choice for European customers. Europe will also receive the 218d so there is an entry for everyone.
Yes. Worth the wait though. Why settle for less in the meantime?!

Definitely going to be an enthusiasts' car in the future.

Just like all of the negative comments from the:

E39 owners when the E60 came out
E46 owners when the E90 came out
E92 owners when the F32 4 series came out
E92 M3 owners when the M4 Concept debuted

This isn't a new trend, so why let it get your panties in a bunch?

Are those real pics??!! If so - truly gorgeous!

Still too happy w my e92 but nice to know I have a real option, unlike f3X - too numb and bloated.

Looking fantastic in the new photos showing the red M235i.

Really want to know when and how the B48/B58 will be written into this car's story.

Are the red images from post #120 the real deal? I noticed some of the actual shots of the M235i do no have the horizontal slats in the lower grill, but this car still does.

insanely better than the 4-er
it's like the "small, modern & coupe" thing at it's best
i just can't stand this almost GT side profile of the 4-er

and all you hater guys, ya'll be with your eyes wide open when you see one in black with some badass wheels

I just feel the rear has extra space that can be filled by the tail lights.

This makes the tail lights positioned very far apart leaving huge area for a long license plate to look lost in.

Maybe a wider M2 stance would solve this though. Or by that time there will already be a facelift in this case tail lift lol

As a current E39 and E46 owner, I still think the E39 is 100X better looking than the E60. The E46 (M3 that is) looks better than the E9X and F30 cars. The
