I emailed Jeremy at BMW of Columbia today and he said I would get the additional $1,000 off. I must have got their April allocation but I ordered March 6 but they told me it was their April allocation. They wasted their allocation on 2 228's that are sitting on their lot, the one was received in mid Feb and then they ordered another almost like it and it's sitting on the lot.

I traded a 2010 Mini Clubman S at BMW of Columbia on our X1 and drove it for nearly 10 weeks, I was sweating not having an accident or major problem. They had a hard time selling the Mini, the last time I checked they had it listed for the exact same price they gave me on trade so they lost money big time on that deal.

How long do I have to wait before I can track my new M235i? I just receive the production number today from my CA and the status said 111 - Order Accepted at AG.

When I try to add the car to "My BMW" it can't find it.

Hoping for some sort of movement in production on Monday considering my "Confirmed Production Week" is the 19th week, i.e. the week beginning May 5th.

I'm still at status 150.

Your CA should tell you whether or not they have a build week allotment, or whether you're just going into the general production cycle.

Some (most) phone reps do not know their own system shows SOME dates as [Yr/Mo/Wk]...

I was being told May 19th at one point... but then one of them (on a random day that I called) said "Hmm.. I actually.. I think 19 might be the week" and after some research I found that is in fact how some of the dates that show up on their screen are reported. The ESIMATED PROD. DATE will be in a regular format but the CONF PROD. is [Yr/Mo/Wk]. Ever since that one guy told me that it was actually the week number showing up, I have not had one rep tell me the same thing but I've been enlightening all of them whenever I call (once a day) and they figure it out.

At any rate, the phone rep tells me week 19 "conf. prod" and the automated system tells me the estimated completion date is may. 9th. Week 19 is this coming week.. so they match up!

Ahhh the wait suckssss!

If my order says conf. prod. 2014/5/20, does that means it starts production on May 20th or week 20?

Is this a normal response? For the guys that have being using the 1 (800) phone line.

Yeah, took a good week for it to give me a completion date estimate. Which was about a week before it started.

If your "Conf. Prod" is 2014/5/20, then that means a week 20 build, i.e. production starting May 12!

Interesting according to the BMW rep my production start is May 9 for week 20. The fact that your info bumps right up against mine validates the nomenclature for both status'.

Online doesn't give me anything that is useful, and it took three different calls within a week to get a rep that understood their own computer system. In general the reps at BMW do not understand the system, neither do the local reps at the dealers… it's really not their fault I believe all these folks are extremely smart people. It is the fault of management and training. They don't train people.

They don't want to take people away from sales to train them. Even the most professional sales people still don't understand the simplest concept - more training equals more sales.

I swear to you one hour of training equals five "additional" sales.

updated production date is now 5/12/14 - "confirmed" production date is 5/19/14...

i know this has been discussed, but best to assume 4 weeks after production ends, correct?

I just called and was told conf production date May 19, 2014. I specifically asked her if it was 2014/May/Week 19 and she said no.

However, since my est production date is May 6, and this is week 19, I think she was wrong.

I wish they would improve their system or educate their call staff. I guess I'll find out in a couple days what's going on if the status changes.

FWIW, I was told that they will tell you the vessel your car is on once it's loaded (in case you don't want to ask your CA).
