Hm, hadn't heard of Rejex before. Sounds interesting. I've used Zaino products to good effect. Wonder how they compare ...

I've used RejeX for nearly a decade now. Its function is to repel dirt, bugs, water, tar, chemicals, brake dust, bird poop, etc. And it does a fantastic job! Your car stays cleaner. And when you do wash it, there is less abrasion and everything goes quicker. In 2009, I was "on the road" for two years, during which time I didn't wash my RejeX'd car once. I covered 16K miles, in extreme weather conditions ranging from summer Arizona heat to heavy Oregon rains to northern New Mexico snow and sub-zero temps. My car stayed outside day and night. After two years, I washed it. And to my shock, the paint still beaded water. The few bug splats that stuck needed nothing but mild agitation to remove. It actually took me no more time to wash my car than if I'd maintained it properly. The paint looked absolutely like showroom new. Since then, every car I've owned has been Rejex'd from Day One. Another nice thing is that RejeX requires no effort to apply or wipe off. I apply two coats after using a clay bar to remove contaminants. Each coat can be applied and removed in 15 minutes, and there's no buffing or polishing required.

Yeah definitely. I am considering putting it on a dyno just to see the difference, but haven't gotten to scheduling it yet. There is a noticeable difference when I switch between the maps. Actually did a very short pull (~1/2 mile) against an M2 today and I was pulling ahead.
Definitely love the extra power, power curve, and that I don't have to make any changes when taking the car in for service. It'll probably hold me down for awhile |

Just saw a black TTS pull in front of the Eiffel Tower in the view out my window (second floor conference room). What a sexy machine especially at night when backlit.

He now looks approvingly at my 718. I'm waiting for him to walk up and ask me if we can switch for a day ... which I'm not all that opposed to since I wanna drive his TTS, lol.

The original was groundbreaking when it came out and current form it's matured but maintained the design language. It's also elegantly simple with a lot of "why the fuck didn't I think of that" kind of stuff. Like temp control located within the vents. Just smart design choices. And to be perfectly fair in the US unless it's an ego thing the mini R8 is all that's need.

the startup of the iDrive begins as soon as the car thinks you’re going to take it for a walk, so often, if you’re slow to hit the go button, the animation has run, without lighting the screen, and the main screen comes up directly.
so if you sneak up, quickly open door, jump in, hit the button, you’ll see most of it. i base this not on documentation, but on careful experimentation, a half century of working with computers, and wild guessing. |

You’re in Paris and the sexiest thing you can find is a TTS? Sad, so sad!

Been locked in a conference room 20 hours a day - any distraction is a welcome distraction.

What a coincidence, we've had 3 has well, lost the first 2 to Hemangiosarcoma (cancer), current one is a little over 9 and still healthy, at least so far.
