Does any have the part numbers for the visors without the stickers?
RealOEM has the stickered ones for US and EBay UK looks to have a stickered version in that country too. If I can't get the stickers off I would rather pay wholesale before retail before IND. |

Was easy peasy... lightly wet a paper towel folded to the size of the sticker with the alcohol, barely a minute and it started coming up. Basically then just rolled the sticker up and off of the visor. Hardest part was getting the wiring connector disconnected, lol.
Thanks again! |

I have a 2014 m235i and I'm super glad to be rid of those ugly idiot stickers.. thanks OP!
Mine did not however come off "in 5 mins".. about 15mins in with a paper towel covering saturated with brand new 91 isopropyl I had a moment of doubt.. it didn't seem to be working. But, at that point with two corners F'd up, committed I was. I re sauntered and did some house chores so as not to watch paint dry.. or quite literally the exact opposite of that. All in all it came off just fine but took 30+ mins and didn't come in one peice.. Trust the process! Cheers |

I did this job today and wanted to add my notes. I've added a few pix that I hope will help you guys out.
The little connector that seems to give everyone trouble didn't bother me much at all, I just pulled the 2 pieces apart. It took some force, but if you know where to pull it's pretty easy. I tried to stick a small screwdriver in the hole just to see what everyone else was doing, but it didn't work for me. the connector is sort of wedged into the visor mount, so you have to wiggle it out a bit, then grab the two ends and pull, no problem at all. I used a paper towel cut to just larger than the sticker to keep the alcohol in place, then saran wrap over the top of it. My experience is that if you wait just about 3 minutes and pull the sticker off it's a bit harder to get off, but it takes more of the adhesive with it. If you wait 7+ minutes it comes off easier, but leaves more residue on the visor. If you wait 10+ minutes the sticker wants to fall apart on you, making a huge mess. Moral of the story, just leave the alcohol on a few minutes and try to pull it off. It'll look like it's going to break, but it'll hold, just be very gentle with it. Also, once the decal is off the remaining residue was unaffected by anything I tried. More alcohol, goo gone, nail polish remover, even enamel reducer didn't take it off, so it remains. Still looks better than the sticker though. |

hubauer-shop.de wants $58 for shipping to US I was going to attempt it myself, but 91% Isopropyl Alcohol is "impossible" (or at least difficult) to find now due to COVID-19. So I ordered from IND for $207 + shipping (with their current 10% discount). |

There are so many things that could be used, alcohol, wd40, nail polish remover, etc., I would try before dumping a couple hundred bucks on it. Worst case is you ruin the things and order the new without labels then anyway. Too late as you've already done that lol

91 iso wasn't working well for me at all, it was a 3 month old bottle so maybe it wasn't as strong as new. Instead of/before quitting and ordering the stickerless visors I went all in and grabbed a can of brakleen I had around. Worked much better, doesn't seem to have affected the visor material. Still have the shadow outlines of the sticker but I reinstalled them and will let them bake in the car for the summer and retry alcohol later for the finishing touch. I used a ton of leather conditioner after. I was really surprised the brakleen didn't ruin it, I guess the material is....robust

I think the older the car the harder it is to remove. My 2017 driver side took an hour of picking at it with my fingernails after soaking for 30 minutes in 91%.

New M2C owner here since Feb of 2021.
91% alcohol+paper towel method worked perfectly for me today. I was ready for stretch/cling wrap, but didn't need it. Peeled right off in one piece. This car is very new: <2000 miles on it, and has not been outside in the heat much at all yet. I am convinced age+heat has a huge effect on how hard it is to remove the sticker. So, get this done early if you are a new owner! As others have said for newer/fresher visors, I only needed to wait about 2.5-3.5 minutes before starting to peel. I suppose you will simply need to wait longer and deal with the challenges that comes with older stickers, or once that have been exposed to lots of heat already. Thanks everyone for sharing their details, this community is great. |

Hello everyone! M2C owner, purchased in April '21, completed the removal of the visor stickers today Nov 8. I had a lot of trouble removing the two pin electrical connector on the passenger side, while the driver's side came right off. I thought there was a trick or a release that had to be pushed - I ended up using some pliers very carefully, and it came out. I can assure M2/M2C owners - this connector is just stubborn sometimes, it pulls right out, and I recommend using pliers - but being very gentle.
I removed my stickers with 99% ISO. Poured a little in a bowl and soaked strips of paper towel that I had cut to slightly larger than the decal. I put aluminum foil over the strips to keep the alcohol from evaporating quickly. Driver's side visor took about 10 mins of soaking and then I was able to peel the sticker off with some light pressure from a nylon trim removal tool with a semi-sharp edge. Passenger side took more like 20 mins of soaking. Trim removal tool did not scratch the visor surface at all but scraped the sticker off. Heat gun is also a great method, and was my backup. If you do it soon enough after buying, you'll have no trace of the stickers / shadows! Good luck. Next up, I am going to replace the stupid fender reflectors the US market requires with the IND Distro paint-matched ones! |

I will second the notion that an older car might be harder to remove.. my 2020 vert (like 3.5 years from the first sale I think) is having a lot of trouble. Brand new 91% isopropyl alcohol, but the sticker isn't peeling up in one piece at all. This is gonna be a mess
