And to think someone here chided me last week for spending $380 on a custom muffler delete. This car has over $7K in WHEELS.

15' M235i - 1 year no issues...just got the (R) wheel bearing replaced under warranty. But i do find myself putting about a quart of oil around the 7k mile mark before each oil change.

Brake squeak and one time when I was making a right hand turn at a stop sign, the car shook violently. Felt like I was hit from behind when there was no one behind me. I think it was probably a transmission gremlin.
Other than that, car has been great thus far. |

MY2014, 33,550 miles.
ZF8 is a bit whiney on rare occassions, had a small bit of seal poking out at one of the rear fenders (fixed under warranty) and I think my exhaust flap is beginning to rattle more and more. Just some minor annoyances basically, but it still drives smooth as butter and I would not hesitate to buy a properly maintained 235i again.

After the dealer replaced the faulty intake pipe from charge air cooler to throttle body, I am happy again.

Mechanically zero issues with just over 5k miles. I had two trim issues. The headliner became detached. It took 2.5 months to get from Germany and a week to install. Then I had some squeaks. One was the rear head rest when it became loose where the leather was sticking out of the bottom and the other was where the top and the window met. The headrest is still a alittle squeaky. I'm gonna look at it today

I've had to have both tail lights replaced (one twice) due to defective seals and condensation getting inside. Dealer said this is a common 2 series issue. Other than that, no issues. Love the car!

I'm currently at just under 47K miles and I've really had just a couple of issues.
One has been the A/C system blowing into the dash behind the glove box and not out of the vents. Brought it in and the dealer was never able to replicate it. The other has been the plastic piece coming out of the rear bumper seams (both sides). Fixed by the dealer. Last one has been a rattle in the rear tray. Comes and goes. Mechanically no problems. I won't get another free oil chance out of the dealer so it's time to get on a regular maintenance schedule of my own. I should top more than 60K by the end of the year, maybe more. I commute for more than 100 miles per day, 5 days a week.

Had my 2016 m235i since Feb 2016. Just two problems
1. Car was delivered with defective paint on bumper. Bumper was replaced. 2. New automatic transmission in Sept due to whining noise in 2nd gear. Otherwise, no problems Last edited by Verrilli; 01-19-2017 at 12:34 PM.. |

Same, but 33,800 miles. 100% stock.
CPU control board(?) blew for unknown reason at 23k miles. Replaced under factory warranty. Charge pipe blew at around 30k miles on a very hot summer day while I was accelerating aggressively onto the interstate. Replaced under factory warranty. Brakes squeal pretty bad now. Dealer says A-OK.

Brake squealing sounds like a cold weather issue. Mine only ever does it when the temperatues are really low. Brake performance is not noticably different.
