Was wondering if any of the other Ops have tried creating more negative camber by upgrading the spindles on their M235. Seems BMW makes OEM spindle upgrades to correct for wheel alignment issues after an accident has "tweaked" the front end alignment ? Would this be a viable way to change camber without changing out the LCA and or TS. Thanks

IMHO, no reason not to use the M3/M4 LCA except for the clearance penalties and the slightly higher NVH.

If running coilovers, perhaps sniff out a set of these m4 GTS top mounts. From the CGI cartoon below, front strut top mounts look offset, perhaps an alternate OEM mod to m4 LCAs for built-in negative camber when upgrading to coilovers.
Depending price and availability etc, could be a viable noise-free alternative to aftermarket camber plates if these parts can be purchased from BMW at a reasonable price and then made to fit 3 or 5 bolt mounts on our cars...... BP |

Earlir in the thread I read someone saying that the LCA are not recommended on a X-Drive vehicle due to the stress it would put on the front driveline.
I dont think its going to put any extra stress on the driveline at all. My question is, will they fit on a Xdrive? is the Subframe mounting spots the same on the Xdrive as they are on the RWD? |

So the camber that is shredding the outside of my M235i's tired is due to the control arms? I was told it could be fixed by camber plates? Does anyone know the true answer?

The only 2 ways to get more camber would be with the M4 LCA's or with camber plates.... M4 LCA's is the cheaper and cheaper to install option but this gives you fixed camber.... Camber plates are more expensive and can make noise but you have full adjustability |

Increased negative camber pushes the bottom of the tire outward and the top inward. If you like a more "flush look" adding a modest spacer will move tire outward.

Some camber plates are quieter than others though. |

Anybody considering trying M2 front lower control arms? Going to see if my BMW buddy can check the part numbers tomorrow and see how much they are.
