Its just a Dinmann Diffuser that was cut to fit the quadtip exhaust. The original diffuser is a regular dual tip. I believe Dinmann is a vendor on the forum

Installed Technic ASD bypass with only a little bloodletting on a sharp chassis point or two. Had to use a razor blade to modify a couple channels on the harness so they’d insert properly into the stock connectors.

Just got back from a long road trip (2600mi) and cleaned about a pound of bug guts off the front end - gonna try that pre-spray next time. The trip also included finally putting on a US Millworks tow-hook plate that has been working flawlessly - a very nice piece, and as easy to install as the videos make it look (and it can take on bugs the size of small birds w/o getting bent out of shape ).

Installed a Wavetrac LSD and dropped the final drive ratio to 3.08. Looking forward to getting some miles on the car now.

Washed, vacuumed, Zaino'd, ASD delete installed and centre speaker disconnected.
Pretty solid day. Gonna need to get new brake pads soon though as this dust is killing me! |

Related to the brake dust, my M235 was horrible too, probably the worst car I've ever owned for it. I removed the blanking covers inside the front wheel wells for the brake cooling ducts. Made a huge difference. Still get some but probably half what it was before when the bake vents were closed off.

the door sill cover is just a light up M performance and doesn't project any light. I installed my self. really simple. no need to pay someone to do it.

Yes, thanks. Except for lying down on the garage floor at 40 degrees and 77 years, I think you're right.

Well, about 1,000 miles on the M240i convertible today. Thinking about the neat puddle lights and door sills, and (this is very atypical for me) asking whether I'll get a few hundred bucks' worth of joy from them. I'm thinking no.
I'm still leaning hard toward the performance exhaust. I think the M240i is actually stronger than the 135is was, but it doesn't make those snarly noises. This is not obviously something I need before the winter tires go on, though. We'll see. And I really think I should burn the money to wrap the front. I was particularly thinking that today following some idiot in a Ford truck who couldn't seem to keep all four wheels on the pavement. To wrap the whole front, they want about $2500, so that'll be a treat I guess. But in fact the car is just fine as it sits. Maybe for MPE I should wait until I start to get bored. |
