Unfortunately not Esteban. However I did have the privilege of detailing the vehicle. Customer finally imported it to the U.S. after the 25 year wait period.

If I had to guess I would say somewhere between $50k-$60. It’s going on BAT in a few weeks.

I don't know much about the Skyline and confess I don't get the excitement about the vehicle. Can someone give me the basics please?

One of the favourites in Japan for tuning. Predecessor to Godzilla.

Here you go @Llarry. Just a little history of the Skyline and its allure.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, @GERMAN M3 that explains it. I was never into the Fast & Furious films, nor the JDM movement. In a way, a bit of a parallel to 1960s BMW's with boxy sedans (neue klasse and 1800/1602) morphing into enthusiast vehicles.

No worries Llarry. Glad it helped. I went through my JDM phase in my late teens to mid 20’s. Had an 83 Datsun 280 ZX, 87 Nissan 300ZX, and a 1990 Nissan Twin Turbo 300ZX. That twin turbo was one hell of a car. Quick and very responsive. However, I wish I could have gotten my hand on a 1984 25th Anniversary addition. In my opinion it has always been one of the best looking Z cars.

My wife had a couple of Zs. I had a Supra; 1987. Loved that Supra till I totaled it.

Looked like this (pic from the web).

My first car was a '79 280ZX. Now I have a '76 620 LWB I'm slowly building.

I love the older Japanese "muscle" cars. Skylines, Bluebirds, Z-cars, Corollas...

I do appreciate newer Skylines and GTR's when done properly, but I see them so often now and most of them have been molested and hacked together that it's rare for me to look twice anymore. I'm sure every generation goes through it, but I feel gone are the days of enthusiast built, well taken care of, tastefully done JDM cars. The drift craze is destroying the scene and ruining gems IMO.

I don't think I've ever seen a Corolla referred to as a "muscle" car.

Neither have I and I owned both a 1984 SR5 coupe and a 1988 SR5 GT-S coupe. (Both photos borrowed from the inter web.) Both were incredibly fun to drive and absolutely reliable but muscle car... nope.

They were never a powerful car and compared to American muscle standards they aren't a muscle car, but Japanese car culture is a little different. You'll find them on classic JDM muscle lists quite often, usually the KE35 variant, along with Celica's, Civic's, etc.

Have always loved the look of the Mark III Supra Esteban. Dad was stationed in Worms, Germany from 85 to 89 and our neighbor had a brand new 87 Supra in Super Red! Makes me wonder how much one in descent shape would sell for today??
