Ever since I found out the 1M was being released (I was 6mos into my 135 purchase :-( ) I have told myself..MUST BE PATIENT...WAIT FOR THE M2...MUST BE PATIENT...WAIT FOR THE MMMMMMMMMMM.
But yet I still troll for the 2 pricing sheet. Anyone else pissed they missed the 1M boat?

I'm quickly losing interest, especially since the new M will be announced meaning it's probably pretty doubtful they are going to bother releasing the online build and price for this car anytime soon. Too many other cars out there to drool over that are taking my attention over at this point. BMW isn't doing a very good job drumming up interest, rather they are making their own new product seem stale already.

Every redneck and his brother has a Mustang or Camaro around here but hey get what makes you happy. If you don't mind driving something that a million other people drive than one of those two will work.

Value aside though, it doesn't help that the more I look at pics of these cars (as well as the upcoming MQB GTI and A3/S3) I like the F22 less. I keep smelling F20 in the design. You can tell they wanted to distance the F22 from the F20 but cost got in the way, so some of that awkwardness stuck around. Kind of how Chrysler tried to redesign the Sebring into the 200 - yeah the front & back look better, but you can spot that Sebring greenhouse from miles away. We will see what happens next year... I'll probably drive them back to back, hate some pissant detail in the 'Stang and end I'll up with the F22 or a GTI. First world problems ahoy!

If I have as much fun in the new 5.0 mustang as I suspect I'm going to have, I won't give a rat's ass how many people have them. Where I live, I see more 3-series BMWs than most other cars (barring a couple of hondas)--if exclusivity is what you're after the "less expensive" BMWs are NOT what you should be looking at.

No trash around here driving 5.0s, R/Ts, and SSs. Decent amount of V6 cars, but the V8 cars are few and far between. |

I was looking forward the new one to until I drove the current one for a few days recently. I drove a GT years ago but it was years since I drove the current generation.
I know the new one will be better and amazing value for the power and feature, but it has to be leaps better to attract me now and I don't even think its possible - even with IRS. I swapped out the car for another rental car, that's how much I didn't dig driving it. |

You can build a 228i almost to the same spec as the M235i with the following options:
Msport $3000 Dynamic Handling $1400 (adaptive suspension, mbrakes, variable steering) Xenons $900 The M235i also includes moonroof, power seats and lumbar, you'll have to get the premium package in the 228i for those items. There's a $1700 difference between the M235i and 228i premium packages. When you add the above performance options and premium package to the 228i, the difference compared to an M235i with premium is about $3750. Of course, the M235i also has the extra bump in HP and a performane exhaust. IMO, if you to spec the 228i the same as the M235i, its a no brainer to go with the M235i. |

am i the only one who finds it odd there isn't nary a mention of the 2 series on the US BMW site?
Not one iota of a hint of a mention. Doesn't do much to generate interest. |

M3/4 pics revealed yesterday...doubt there will be any news with the 2er this week. And with the Holidays right around the corner, I doubt if anything will break before the end of the year...

Couple idiots on here don't engage their brains. 75,000 mustangs and 75,000 Camaro's per year equal 150,000 plus and that's just 2013. Current 1 series sells 6,000 a year in the US. Nobody mentioned BMW I was referencing 2 series if you can't follow the topic of the thread. So for you math majors in Beverly Hills and Minnesota, a couple million Mustangs and Camaro's in the marketplace and zero 2 series. Yes I want something exclusive and based on 1 series sales it will be. I could have said Ford or Chevy and used that like you used BMW so it would be in the 10's of millions.
