Just have diffsonline or Blanton build a custom LSD; you can spec the static lock you want and the ramp angles for acceleration and deceleration or have them build it with a Wavetrac, Quaife, or OS Giken, lots of choices. Any of these choices can be setup to be significantly better than the factory ordered unit.

Now they need to allow customers to purchase the LSD installed at delivery instead of paying for an open diff, then ordering the LSD, then paying to remove the open diff, then paying to install the LSD.

Sweet Jesus, has anyone else checked out some of the competition in SSGT2 Small Bore? I was kind of puzzled about how a GTI was besting the M235i around a track... but then I did some searching. Check this beast out:

They are showing "DNS" for the last two events which makes me believe the car is real issue now. I read an article on "The Telegraph" about the M235i being a "dry sump" system, is this false? I would think the oil pressure issue would be more in line with oil level and increase temps of the day. Hope we get some more word today on what happen and whether the team will be able to continue the event.

Just a follow up on our retirement from this year's One Lap of America.
We had a mechanical failure and at this time we haven’t identified the specific reason, but will be investigating the cause. Thank you for your support and well wishes during the event, and Mike & I would like to thank our sponsors:
We’ll be back next year.

Let us know what your finding is. This doesn't bode too well for people that were hoping to purchase this car for some track duty. Hopefully BMW investigates instead of sticking M badges on everything . I remember someone earlier making a post about the heavily modified GTI's failing, yet I guess they got the last laugh because the brand new BMW with M performance parts died. Hopefully this was an one off case. That being said, you guys are fantastic drivers and next year will be a lot better (probably with an M3!)
