Well, i've ordered an F30 335 but I think I'm on the cygnus leader! CA told me shipped 3/13 to land 4/9 also, even though NYK sheet and Port Hueneme say 4/10.
No threads on the F30 forums so I'll join the party here! |

I ask also because I myself considered and test drove the 335 (among others) before eventually deciding on the M235i. So, curious about your decision.

I got mine from Steve Thomas BMW. If you got it from him too, we'd probably see each other for pickup. The 335 and 435 are really nice cars. How did you get it configured? |

@Fjk - It would've been really boring without inline, supernaut, elincali and some others on the forum. Really nice company we've got.

@i6: I'm coming from an E46 but got married. Picked the F30 for the size and doors/convenience. If I was still a free citizen Id definitely have considered the M235!! What a great little package.
@gatte: Configuration: 6MT, m Sport, sport brakes, DHP, Tech (HUD) Barely got the 6MT approved, or at least not disallowed, by the boss... Time is ticking very slowly! |

I am guessing the boss is not on the forum. This type of language could get you in even more trouble. |

I have had a few of the more manageable (older) 5ers. Some of my favorite cars.

Rather than "lurking", I believe the proper technical term for the 5ers is "at anchor".

I agree ... 5ers of the past were nice cars. These days, I can't imagine buying anything bigger than a 3/4, *** but that's just me ***.

The E28s and E39s were probably the best M5s. The E39 still looks so good. |

Of course, I realize that you can option a 435i to make it an "M435i", but then, you're talking 60k+ (with all the options I would want). And, you have to add a lot of stuff - M Sport line, dynamic handling package, M Sport brakes, M Performance power kit (for the 20 extra hp and 30 extra lb-ft) ... and that's just the performance stuff. With all my options, I just built one for $63,375 ... a bit much for me at the moment That is why the M235i is such an awesome package ! Seriously ! I mean - most (if not all) of the high performance equipment is built in ... a no brainer ! You just add on the comfort/tech packages as you wish, and you're set ! A fully loaded fun sports car for under 50k ?!!! And if you don't need the extra vroom, the 228i is a steal ! What a great entry level option for folks who want the ultimate driving machine experience at a bargain ! No wonder the M235i won 2nd place on the consumer reports list ... not that I have the slightest bit of respect for those (*** DISCLAIMER: MY OPINION ONLY ***) more-than-ridiculous clowns sitting on barstools making constant sub-poor attempts at humor and trying to pretend like they know the first thing about cars, but regardless, the car deserves every bit of the fanfare it has received. People don't know what they're missing out on, when they just ignore it completely from consideration. But hey, that's what makes our rides all the more special

A nissan altima with leather, spoiler, moon roof and a very bad engine costs upwards of 30K. For around 10K - 15K more (after the discounts) you're getting a lot of value. You get 2 extra cylinders, 100 more HP and a smile everytime you get inside. Definitetly value for money. Last edited by Gatte; 03-20-2015 at 08:07 PM.. |
