156K Kms ( 96,933 miles) here,
2016 M235i X-Drive as my daily, Started at 66k kms 3 years ago. So I definitely drive my car and so far no problems. It was CPO'd and A lot of nitpick stuff that got replaced under warranty - HVAC Blower Motor - @ 95k kms - Window Actuators ( Both Driver and Passenger) - @100k kms - Passenger Headlight assembly - @98k kms - Trunk lock actuator - @100k kms These all got replaced by BMW Maintenance - Oil Changes every 9k km ( Liqui Moly A40 5W40) - I find that it runs better than the 5W30 - Replaced CP, for future proofing @ 102k kms - Brake Pads - @134k kms - Diff Fluids - @ 84k kms -Spark Plugs and Coil Packs - @147k kms - Engine Air Filter - @84k kms - Cabin Air Filter - @ 156k kms - Cracked Coolant Hose - @102k kms( Wasnt too far from the shop, thank god) It has been pretty reliable especially for how many kms I do a month which is about 2k/ month. Next to do is the ZF Trans fluid, Trans case Fluid, not sure if its necessary, but may also change the front and rear diff fluids again. Lower Control Arms, Might as well do the upper control arms and install lowering springs. Water Pump is still going strong, and HPFP is still going strong. For those who are higher mileage, is there anything to watch out for considering this is my daily? Looking to see if I can reach 300k kms ( 186,411 miles) |

105,000 miles and praying it holds up another 50k
I bought my 2015 228i in 2016 with around 5k on it. I live in Florida so no snow or ice and I have a 75 mile round trip work commute at highway speeds. Repairs have been minor. Battery replaced and the negative cable with sending chip. Much pricier than any other car I've ever owned for a simple battery swap! I replaced the windshield wiper fluid pump after using RainX fluid in it. A pain to access but cheap enough part. One wheel sensor threw a chassis stabilization code. Thank you YouTube for simple directions on replacement. Recently had a major oil leak in the oil pan as BMW's evidently are famous for. I had to have someone else replace that and replaced with aluminum to replace at least one plastic part. I replaced the plugs and coils at 100K, simple job. Valve cover seems to be leaking so bought an OEM. Working up the courage to jump into that, though doesn't look too difficult. And today, while replacing the cabin air filter. I must have pushed on the passenger seat while inverted and accessing that tight area and now my passenger seat won't stay upright!!! What the heck! if anyone has any advice on that Please let me know. So over 8 years of driving and 100K, it hasn't been too costly. OH! Didn't mention that my entertainment screen decided to start delaminating, which seems to be a common issue, so it still works but has fracture lines everywhere. Not looking forward to that DIY replacement! I hope to keep it running at least another 50K but man, even with DIYing, the parts are outrageous and plastic everywhere is infuriating.

I'm at 84K miles and all good so far except the delaminating screen. Planning on replacing with aftermarket soon.
