OT: PHX767.....glad you guys are happy with your new ride. Enjoy it for many years to come.
This one is for my wife too. An anniversary gift. She's not into web missives as I am. Hence, the on-line excitement are mine but she is as excited and anxiously awaiting her new ride.

Thank you!
Thank you all for the kind words & thoughts about my Dad. So thoughtful and I really appreciated it.
He's home now--thankfully no brain injury and of course we're still watching him closely. He looks pretty rough, though. His nurse hugged him when he was discharged; I thought that was sweet. (Stanford Hospital is massively impressive.) I'm counting my blessings. As for my car-- My CA called this morning to say the car has been released to the carrier though not yet picked up. They expect it to arrive at the dealership Wednesday and that it should be ready for pick-up on Thursday, just in time for the weekend. (Same info as BMW NA but somehow it feels more real coming from my CA.) Getting closer... |

Making creative new excuses to drive my M235i ...
An hour ago, I went out for a grocery run. I could have filled up then, but ... Now, I realize ... eh, might as well fill up now. Why wait till the last minute ? Off to the gas station that's located across the street from the grocery store I drove to an hour ago Those who can afford an M235i (or any BMW, for that matter) usually can afford to fill it up frequently

Resetting the trip odometer is done through a "knob" which is shaped like a trapezoid I saw that thing before, but would never have thought it provides any functions ... I thought it was there purely for aesthetics.
So, after I filled up at the gas station, I opened the owner's manual built into iDrive. I searched for "Odometer", and it opened up a page showing how to reset the trip odometer. Note what the finger is pointing at, in this picture:

Hehe, yeah, I noticed that and that's why I decided to stop on the side of the road and immortalize the special moment

No doubt. I'm already starting the insomnia process. It's going to be bad.

Hey off topic but why did you ditch 'Twin Scroll'? Getting too famous to go by the full name?

Nah, originally, when I joined the forum in Jan, I wanted the name "InlineSix", but it was taken, so I added on "TwinScroll". Most people abbreviate my name anyhow, so I thought why not shorten it. "Inline_Six" was available, so I pounced on it

I've been itching to do this for days now. Finally got a look at my beautiful inline six
(Don't mind the dead US 101 insects on the bumper. They've got no place else to be.)
