What better way to be able to homologate more models for various racing series than by creating CSL models. Sell 500 units (or more!) and you can go racing with each one. Which is what they did with the E30M. No games like they did with the e46 m3 GTR v8 |

The details are just mind blowing. The way it is set up for quick servicing, the removable front end clip, the careful aero... Masterful!
Now let's just hope it goes as fast as it looks...

Anyone else notice the air to air intercooler setup that's integrated amazingly into the aero of the car and optimized for cooling? Absolutely amazing piece of engineering work:
Not to mention the kidney grill-back intake and the aerodynamically honed side exit exhaust. Absolutely epic! ///Mike

From the pics it looks likes like the front upper a-arm is much wider than the stock upper arm. Is the upper arm a unique part with mounting points that differ from the stock arm's mounting points to the body?
It also looks as though the chassis is carbon/tube frame from the firewall forward. Is this true? The Z4 seemed to retain the stock unibody. Is the block stock? I'm assuming the pistons are different i.e. forged? Are the rods forged? Are there any pics of the rotating assembly? |
