Why? That track is for low-powered handling cars. Our cars were designed for Mosport's GP course, Watkins Glen, Mont Tremblant, and the like.
This is only my 2¢, of course!

You're 100% right, honestly even my buddy said it would be a stupid fast car on that track, we plan to also hit Canadian tires track as well.

The F2/3x chassis allowed me the flexibility to purchase the two largest cost components (BBK & CS's) at heavy discounts. This wouldn't' have been available to me in a brand new M2. FFWD to today, I'd still do it, a) these cars have dropped a lot in pre-owned value, and b) they still provide the best bang for buck in performance in the BMW coupe division from what I see out there. The F22 is a great chassis, very stiff and shows its true colours even more with the respective mods and driving ability. There honestly isn't much out there that I can't pace with, aside from cars worth 3x the purchase price

Calabogie, Mosport GP/DDT and Shannonville for sure as they're all within 2 hours from me. Cayuga would just be mostly for fun and to see my T.O buddies It's a small track and a bit rough but would run lower boost settings to aid in 2nd gear traction.

Shannonville is by far the cheapest GP track to get on, it's just a bit "rough" in some spots. They have new ownership and plan to do upgrades as they can, still a fun track but can kill your tires in some of the concrete sections that are ripped apart. I mean, they still have GP Motorcycle races so if they can hack it, I'm sure we can too lol.

I waited until I could find the build I wanted (RWD, MT, no sunroof) at $10K off MSRP, put $14K into getting basic upgrades done, and then went to the track with a reasonably satisfactory street/track car. I've put another $2K in performance parts into it since; all-in, I'm at about $55K with a car that does pretty much what I want it to. The only unsolvable issue is the weight. OMG...the weight!!!

You found a gem for sure! Future state I plan to do the carbon roof skin swap and delete the sunroof assembly/ metal roof cover. Probably roll cage at the same time which still won't net a lighter car, but at least drop the weight to a lower position lol. This is a few years down the line, though. I still want to enjoy the car for what it is (a street car) and then possibly the iR bodywork and a bigger tire setup

If I could get it under 3400lb in the future I'd be happy.. currently 3490 w/ sunroof only because of the lighter wheels/bbk's (you'd surprised how light the GT calipers/rotors are compared to OEM) otherwise it'd be over the 3500 mark for sure. Never had a chance to weight it in stock form.

Ideally I got the core for the added cooling/surface are knowing a) I'd loose a bit of bottom end power, and b) have intentions of PS2 when the stock turbo eventually chokes. Had I not had plans for PS2 or long track days, I'd have done the 5"HD core instead.

It wasn't a legible amount to suggest any more lag than that, maybe 500rpm tops? I have logs I can share from pulls, just nothing on track for long term monitoring. I watch my gauges constantly through my JB4 mobile app and it's always solid, never above regular operating temps..
